Riverview’s Coverdale Centre Splash Pad & Playground on Runneymeade Road
There’s a great little splash pad hidden away in the Town of Riverview, tucked behind the Coverdale Centre on Runneymeade Road. You’ll definitely want to put this one on your summer playground rotation with the kids!
The splash pad, officially known as the Coverdale Centre Splash Pad, is found behind the centre, which you might also know as the home of the Boys & Girls Club of Riverview. The club has after-school & summer programs, so it can sometimes be pretty packed with kiddos, but we’ve also managed many visits where it was quiet!
Riverview’s splash pad isn’t huge, but it does have fun elements such as the truck that sprays water, the pelicans that splash down on you, and of course some water cannons you can aim at your siblings or friends!
There’s also a small playground nearby, which is not maintained by the Town but offers a great reprieve from the water, if your littles need a change of scenery.
This playground has a small structure with a double slide, some climbing elements, and the big hit with our kiddos: a balance beam!
There is ample parking at the Centre, and there are washroom facilities on site. The splash pad is labelled as accessible by the Town of Riverview. Water is usually turned on near the end of June; you can always check the Town’s Closures & Cancellations page for updates on trail conditions and more from the Recreation Department.
The Town of Riverview’s Community Splash Pad & Playground is located behind the Coverdale Centre at 50 Runneymead Road.
