Moncton’s Westbrook Circle Park
Another tucked away gem for families looking for a playground away from busy roads and with parking is Westbrook Circle Park, on Community Avenue.
The Westbrook Circle Park includes a baseball field, a basketball net (just one; no play after 10pm), swings, climbing equipment, shade, nearby trails, and a water feature.
The playground has six swings, two of which were infant swings when we visited.
Dogs are welcome on the trails and garbage cans with poop bags are available on site.
The sun shelter has a long table with benches that would be great for a picnic, as well as a small table and chairs where you can enjoy a game of checkers.
The playground equipment is new (the site was listed as under construction during the summer of 2018) and has lots of neat climbing features that appeal to older kids, but remain low enough to be accessible to young climbers, too. There are two slides – one of them a double!
The water feature is small but welcome on a warm day!
The Westbrook Circle Park appears well used by the neighbourhood, with lots of activity the day we visited.
This is a great space if you’re out looking for a spot to park and play, especially during school hours when it’s likely a little quieter. The playground is set back from the road with lots of trees and trails surrounding it – hard for a little one to get too far away from you here! Set your GPS or map app to 16 Community Avenue to find this playground just off the Berry Mills Road near Wheeler Boulevard.
Don’t forget to tell your friends about this park – and be sure to check out some of our other local playground profiles!
We have some great parks in our area that so many of us don’t know about. This is one I didn’t know about. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Matthew! We love being able to find new spaces for families to explore! Thanks for sharing, too! 🙂
