Moncton’s Canadian Heights Playground
The City of Moncton’s Canadian Heights Playground is a fantastically large green space tucked away just behind the Lounsbury Centre in the city’s North End.
The space includes a swing set, two play structures, a few stand-alone elements, and a sun shelter with a checkers table and lots of benches scattered around the property.
The swing set had two children’s swings and two infant swings when we visited.
The smaller play structure is a great fit for toddlers.
The larger play structure has some fun climbing elements and monkey bars that should appeal to older kids.
There is a concrete pad with nearby benches that appears to be set up for a water element, although there was none present when we visited in June 2019.
This is a quiet residential area with the playground in the centre, allowing for lots of on-street parking. There is lots of room to spread out and enjoy a picnic.
Canadian Heights Park is officially located at 35 Chelsea Street.
