Blake Fullerton Turns Hillsborough Home into Christmas Thrift Shop | Pickle Planet Podcast S9E7

It’s hard to describe exactly what it’s like to walk into Blake Fullerton’s house in Hillsborough. Each and every room – two bathrooms, several bedrooms, den, kitchen, even the garage – is filled with Christmas decor for sale. There’s a bathtub filled with bags of ornaments. Kitchen cupboards with festive signs. One bed filled with stuffed animals, another covered in Christmas pillows. Blake loves the season – and shopping for it year round! He hits up yard sales, estate sales, discounters, and end-of-season blow outs. Neighbours who know what he does leave boxes of donations on his doorstep. Because Blake is creating a special kind of shop, one with low prices and a community feeling that you just can’t replicate in a traditional store. He begins the shopping season with special visits from local seniors, then invites the general public to come and find some new-to-you treasures. The stories shared as shoppers discover decorations from their childhood or the missing village pieces to complete a set add to the magic and keep Blake opening his doors. Join Jenna & Tosh as they chat with Blake about how New to You Christmas Decor and More came to be – and how you can shop thrifty this holiday season!
