Moncton’s Maplehurst Playground
Moncton’s Maplehurst Park is another lovely space great for multiple ages!
This park has a splash pad for hot days, as well as lovely shaded areas. There are a number of benches scattered throughout, as well as lots of space to set out a picnic blanket and enjoy.
There is one basketball hoop with a small court, as well as a checkers/chess table.
There’s is a small structure for little ones to climb, and an awesome larger structure with great climbing options.
When we visited there were three swings, one baby swing, a two-person swing, and an accessible swing. There is a paved path through the park; the swings and climbing structures are on gravel.
There is no washroom, as is the case with many of our community playgrounds. There is only on-street parking but the play space feels safely away from the traffic. (For a less-busy Street option, park on Bulman Drive & use the path!)
Updated in 2016, this is a lovely space (and while it’s well-used, it never feels too busy for us!). You can find it by heading for 115 Maplehurst Drive in Moncton.
Here are a few other playgrounds we’re featured recently; be sure to let us know which ones you visit & enjoy!
