Riverview’s Bridgedale Playground
Thanks again to the wisdom of the Planet, we discovered Bridgedale, a playground with a zip line!
Located near the edge of the Town of Riverview at the former Bridgedale school, this space also includes a basketball court, a baseball field, a port-a-potty, and a picnic shelter. It was probably one of the busiest spots we’ve been to since starting these profiles – which means there were a few other families there are the same time as us!
The Bridgedale Playground has a swing set with an accessible seat and a parent/baby swing, as well as one of the big saucers so many kids love.
There’s a good-size play structure that’s in great condition.
There’s also a neat-looking app called Playbiba that is connected to the equipment. We didn’t test it out, but it promises to help spur screen-focused kids into play in the real world. (Our kids just made up games about the monster eyes on the equipment!)
The only downside to this playground: the zip line needs adult help, or at least a few good friends to help you out!
You can find this playground by setting your GPS or map app to find 50 Vernon Avenue in Riverview. You won’t be disappointed!
