Wake Up To Yellow Recap
Disclosure: This post and my appearance at #WakeUpToYellow in Fredericton is sponsored by the Egg Farmers of Canada, but all opinions and stories shared are my own honest experiences.
Seems I’m always getting caught in the rain, but thankfully the bright smiles, cheery farmers, and yellow tents dotting Fredericton’s Phoenix Square for the Wake Up To Yellow event made the showers part of the fun.

The three-hour pop-up market was held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 and it seriously was so much fun, I’m still smiling thinking about it! Lots of friends popped by to say hello, and they walked away with bellies full of yummy local eggs, fabulous bright flowers, and even some goodies for the kitchen!

This was the first time the Wake Up to Yellow Pop Up Market made a stop in New Brunswick, but I certainly hope it won’t be the last. It was truly a fantastic morning, made particularly special by all the New Brunswick egg farmers on site to help share their passion with everyone who stopped to enjoy a warm breakfast sandwich. What a treat, getting to chat with the egg farmers themselves and see the pride on their faces and hear the stories of how they chose egg farming as their profession. If you happen to be in Charlottetown on June 19th, visit the Wake Up To Yellow market at The Old Triangle from 7:30am-10:30am!

Like most moms, I rely on eggs as a quick, easy, and nutritious meal to feed the kids. In under 10 minutes I can have breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the table, knowing it’s packed with protein (6.5 grams per egg – a great energy boost!) and 14 nutrients. There were handouts at the event with great information and ideas: you can find some fantastic (and some fancy!) recipes to try on eggs.ca if you’re up for a little kitchen inspiration!

This is the fourth year for the Wake Up to Yellow Pop Up Markets across the country; they still have dates to come in Charlottetown and St. John’s, so be sure to let your friends there know to be on the look out!
