Fairview Knoll Playground
You guys, Fairview Knoll is the best! This amazing unicorn of a playground has it all – accessible ground, all ages appeal, splash pad, benches, parking, port-a-potty – what more could you want?!
There is a small play structure with a double slide for little climbers.
There’s a large play structure with a triple slide, twisty slide, climbing wall, and more.
There are six swings, two of which were infant swings when we were visiting.
There’s a fabulous shelter with lots of seating and a table with a built-in chess board.
The splash pad is huge and full of sprinklers and fun touches. My kids were especially taken with the snail, “snotty frog,” and the portal.
There are benches all around and lots of green space.
There are two single-hoop basketball courts and a shuffle board court.
There’s also a great walking/biking trail around a nearby lagoon.
This playground was popular with the older bike-riding kids while we were there, but even with a dozen or more kids around you didn’t feel crowded. There were also a lot of seniors enjoying the space, which was lovely to see! The space is dog-friendly, with waste bags and garbage bins on site.
My favourite elements that elevate this playground go ‘must visit’ status – a large designated parking lot and a port-a-potty!
Fairview Knoll is a fantastic playground, and a perfect ‘just off the highway’ option for anyone travelling through Moncton! You can find it by searching for 111 Fairview Knoll. It’s just over a kilometre from the Trans Canada Highway (or a three minute drive from the Elmwood Drive Dairy Queen!).
Here are a few more playgrounds we think you’ll love!
