Moncton’s Prince Edward Park
If you’ve driven around Moncton at all you’ve likely seen Prince Edward Park. It’s at the intersection of Burlington and Girvan, and can be seen near the corner of St. George and Vaughan Harvey.
There’s a small splash pad for cooling down on summer days and a shelter with a couple of tables to stay out of the sun when needed.
The playground has a basketball court, placed between the play equipment and the road, which is helpful in creating a barrier for little ones.
There’s a swing set with two baby seats and two other seats; no accessible swings or ground.
There is a small stand alone slide and a small play structure.
The equipment here isn’t fancy but it’s functional and the seating and grounds around the playground make this a lovely little space in downtown Moncton.
This playground had a great community feel with lots of folks coming through while we were here. There’s also a great little community garden plot that’s sure to full of goodies at the end of summer!
You can find Prince Edward Park at 25 Burlington Avenue in Moncton. There was space to park on the road, as well as access from the nearby bike path and the Atlantic Wholesalers Cash & Carry parking lot.
