Riverview’s Riverfront Trail Playground
If you’ve ever driven through Riverview, you’ve seen this playground! Nestled between Coverdale Road and the Petitcodiac River, it’s not a space for kids who run – but a great space if they like to bike & climb!
There are two great climbing structures, as well as outdoor fitness equipment.
We’ve seen little toddlers loving this playground just as much as the bigger kids who appreciate a bit more a challenge with the climbing options.
You’ll find many neat places to explore along the Riverfront Trail, as well as lots of benches and places to stop to enjoy the view.
Watch out for great panels sharing tidbits about the area – and the fabulous Holy Whale Beer Hall & patio, if a pint is part of your plans.
Check the tide tables before coming; you might manage to see the Tidal Bore, too.
The Riverfront Trail stretches for just over 5km, meandering alongside the Petitcodiac, with picnic tables, a small covered bridge, public art and so much more! Bring your bikes, your walking shoes, and your sense of adventure. There are several spots to park along the trail, including a small parking lot just beside the playground. You’ll find it off Coverdale Road (Route 114) just before the Gunningsville Boulevard intersection. If you need a number, search for 174 Coverdale and your GPS should get you there no problem!
