Riverview’s Rebecca Avenue Playground

The kids gasped as we turned off Callowhill Road onto Rebecca Avenue. The playground seems to appear high on the hill, overlooking the neighbourhood, play structures and slides calling to young imaginations.

The playground is a wonderful mix of natural elements and traditional equipment, with an accessible swing, sheltered picnic table, and lots of room to explore.

Crawling through the culverts then scaling their tops was a favourite pastime during this visit.

There are lots of areas to practice balancing skills, a large paved section perfect for artistic endeavours or hopscotch games, and lots of green space behind the playground.

There’s not much room for on-the-road parking, and no washroom facilities nearby, but otherwise this playground is a favourite!

You can find Rebecca Avenue Park in Riverview, at the end of Rebecca Avenue off of Callowhill Road. Click here for directions.
