Riverview’s Patricia Park Tot Lot
PatriciaTown of Riverview’s playground system. This is an accessible playground, created with toddlers in mind, but with lovely green space, shaded shelter, tennis court, basketball court, and a short walk to the riverfront for ice cream — perfect for any age on a summer day!
Park is a jewel in theThe park has one play structure located in a sand pit, with several slides and a nearby climbing ladder.
There is an accessible swing and one other swing.
There is a lovely accessible play structure, which also has climbing equipment to challenge older kids.
Our kids love the ‘roly poly slide’ that reminds me of the old-fashioned conveyor belt system the grocery store used to have when you came around for pick up.
Patricia Park is located directly across from Riverview Middle School, making it an easy walk across to the amazing playground behind Frank L Bowser Elementary School.
This also means the area is busy during school days, and in general it is a well-used space, with local day cares and neighbourhood families enjoying the park. If you’re looking to avoid a crowd, try aiming for lunch time and bring a picnic to enjoy!
The park isn’t fenced in at all, with two main roads on other side, but being in a school zone helps keep traffic slow and the space is large enough I’ve never felt worried about kids getting too close to the road. Unfortunately, there are no washrooms on site.
To find Patricia Park in Riverview, set your GPS to 375 Cleveland Avenue, directly across from Riverview Middle School and just a short walk up from the Fundy Chocolate River Station.
