The mini mazes are great for toddlers! $3/child (under age 3) & $6/person. Play area only is $3/child. 🗡️ 6:30pm – True Crime Murder Mystery Tour at Albert County Museum
Looking for something to do with grown kids – or an adult night out? Check out this fundraiser for the Albert County Museum, where you’ll enjoy a reception with buffet and cash bar, followed by a visit to the Court House to learn about the trial of Tom Collins. You’ll visit the jail and his cell, the site where he was hanged, and his burial plot. Learn about the murder and try to decide for yourself – was he guilty or innocent and does his ghost still haunt the site?

Boo at the Zoo is a fantastic adventure where you visit the animals at Magnetic Hill Zoo while enjoying fun displays – perfect for all ages with lots of non-scary elements for little ones. Lots of families will dress in costume for this event! Admission is $19/per person; youth, children, and seniors get a discount and children under age two are free.

Trick-or-Treating in Greater Moncton – Halloween Hours
There aren’t a lot of hard & fast rules around when you can start trick-or-treating. Moncton, Riverview, & Dieppe generally encourage trick-or-treating no later than 8pm and no earlier than 4pm on October 31. (Watch their social media for updates.) We’ve found people locally consider 5pm to 7:30pm the ideal time to knock on someone’s door, though with Halloween on a Saturday, we expect things to start a little earlier this year. Watch for outside lights and/or decorations to indicate that houses are welcoming trick-or-treaters. Remember to be safe on the streets & polite on others’ property!

🎥 2pm – Frankenstein (1931 version) with a live orchestra
The Capitol Theatre will show the 1931 version of Frankenstein with Symphony New Brunswick providing the music! Doors open at 1:15pm; this is a pay-what-you-can event with a $10 minimum. There were quite a few balcony seats available when we checked on Sept 20 – but we know they’ll go fast!

A must-visit on our annual list is 19 Waterfall Drive in Riverview (below; photo from previous year); Keeping Up With The Bones bring their skeleton friends out to play each year. Stop by to admire the constantly changing display!

There’s an incredible display on Killarney Road in Riverview each year (photo below), and we always check out the mannequin family on Coverdale (across from the Riverfront playground). We’ve also been told to check out 14 Cosburn Drive in Riverview this year.
In Moncton, we always check out the corner of Alexander Avenue & Milner Road to see what their AT-AT is up to (photo below) – but it was their dancing skeletons that had our hearts last year! Check out the light show on the front lawn (and make plans to come back here when this turns into a Christmas tree & display!)
Salisbury Road has several homes with great displays, too, & we’ve seen some great photos from the Old West End. Check out this amazing home on Broadview Avenue (photo from 2024)!

The folks at 59 Falcon Drive in Moncton’s North End have been going all out the past few years & we love it. The photo below is only a snippet of what they had on display in previous years. We highly suggest exploring the neighbouring streets, too – we saw some great displays between Falcon & Deerfield last year!
