Family-Friendly Events & Activities in Greater Moncton

Here’s what you need to know: Each week we (and by we, I mean me, Jenna Morton, mom of three) curate a guide to family-friendly events and things to do, from Friday to Sunday, across Moncton, Riverview, Dieppe, and nearby communities. Riverview’s annual Maple Fest takes place March 27-28, 2026! Celebrate all things maple with a “weekend of maple-infused menus & promotions all over town.” We’ll list some of the family-friendly events throughout this weekend round up.
And if you’re looking for a little maple flavour with your meals, consider the Maple Fest menu at Salisbury’s Pizza Mill. There are Sugar Shack, Maple Chili, & Lumberjack pizzas and sticky fingers – on till April 6!

If you’re looking for an incredible photo op this Easter, or just a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some local art, check out the giant Pysanka egg installation at Resurgo Place. These beautiful creations were made for the Ukrainian Club of Moncton’s event on March 22; we’re so happy to see them on display longer!
Friday Family Events (March 27, 2026)
Today’s Riverview’s annual Maple Fest events include:
- Sugar Shack themed laser tag at the Riverview Community Hall; ages 11 & under with adult at 5:30pm, ages 12-17 at 6:30pm, and ages 18+ at 9:30pm.
- The Your Sweetest Line contest at the Riverview Skatepark – film your best move for a chance at awesome bragging rights! Stop by tonight to enjoy maple taffy on the snow outside with Briggs Maples, $3/stick.
- There’s a fantastic talk happening at 6pm, sharing the stories of Mill Creek – From Naval Base to Nature Park. If you don’t know about the history of this area, it’s amazing! There’ll be refreshments and displays from the Riverview Veterans Association, 292 Royal Canadian Sea Cadets Corp, The Albert County Historical Society, and the Albert County Museum.
If you have a teen interesting in machinery, check out the TeXplore – Makers Making Change workshop at the Dieppe Library. Presented by Place Aux Compétences, McKenna Institute, and Neil Squire, children ages 12 to 14 will assemble components, solder, test circuits, and build adaptive devices. There’s a morning and an afternoon option; registration is required, call 506-877-7945. (Presented in French.)

Artful Wares NB is hosting a two-hour self-portrait painting workshop, open to ages 12+. Spaces are limited, so reach out to ensure a spot.
The fabulous Christa Martin is hosting a polymer bookmark workshop at the Dieppe Arts & Culture Centre at 6pm. Suitable for ages 12+.
The Moncton Wildcats kick off playoffs tonight at the Avenir Centre at 7pm.

Maple Sugar Camps near Moncton
Renton Brothers Family Sugarbush (1270 Gorge Rd in Moncton) open Saturday & Sunday.
Trites Maples (1270 Gorge Road) open Saturday & Sunday. They offer breakfast on Saturdays only.
Fundy Maple (6 Dewey Road, Turtle Creek) open Saturdays.
Château Scoudouc (2862 Route 132, Scoudouc) open year round. They offer brunch on Saturdays & Sundays.
White’s Maples (4044 Route 910, Hillsborough) open Saturdays & Sundays, with tours & breakfasts available.
Saturday Family Events (March 28, 2026)
Today’s Riverview’s annual Maple Fest events include:
- Rise & Maple at Mill Creek Park! There’ll be fire-brewed maple coffee, s’mores, and live bluegrass with The Smalltown Hounds.
- The Riverside Albert Volunteer Department is hosting their annual Lumberjack Pancake Breakfast, 8-11:30am, at Broadleaf Restaurant.
- White’s Maples is hosting a pancake breakfast, 8am-noon, with maple taffy, too! Children 10 & under are $9, everyone else $18.
- Pedersen Country Maples will offer free tours and marshmallows by the fire, 10am-3pm; maple taffy for $2, cash & maple products for sale.
- Trans Aqua is offering a guided two-hour tour, appropriate for ages 10+ who are mobile, at 10am. Pre-registration required.
- Bring the whole family to learn disc golf! This is a free event, 10am-noon, but you’re asked to register in advance.
- Fundy Maple is open for free tours in English at 11am & 1pm and in French at 11:30am & 1:30pm. You can purchase taffy on the snow for $2/stick, too!
- 1st Moncton Traditional Scouting Troop will be at the Mill Creek lookout, 1-3:30pm, sharing stories and maple beavertail treats around the campfire.
- Enjoy the Maple Dip – a free public swim at the Pat Crossman Aquatic Centre, 2-3:30pm.
- A 3:30pm multicultural character dance workshop for ages 9+ with School of Atlantic Ballet’s dance principal, Yulia Schevchenko and her students. No experience required, everyone welcome. Register in advance here.
- At 4:30pm there’s an Improv Workshop (open to ages 9+) with After-School Theatre instructor, Marika Branch and students from the School of Atlantic Ballet’s musical theatre program
- Maple Mania continues at Briggs Maples with discounts on maple products, free taffy, creamy maple root beer, and more!
- There’ll be a Maple Scavenger Hunt at Farmer Brown’s that will help you learn how sap becomes syrup – fun for the whole family! Register in advance for this free event.
- Maplegrove Inn has a Maplefest Tea happening today & tomorrow; pre-paid tickets required, call 506-882-1854 to book.
- The annual Maple Madness Farmer Market is happening in Hillsborough, 9am-2pm.
Faith First Mini Horses is hosting Easter themed Family Mini Horse Visits. Book in advance to enjoy a 30-minute visit with a mini horse, including grooming and a short walk. Cost is $25 for a family of four, with $5 for each additional person.
Nemo Foundation is hosting a Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Irishtown Community Centre, 9am-noon. (The bunny arrives at 10am!)
The Hub City Sports Card Show takes place 9am-1pm at the Knights of Columbus hall on Broadway Street in Moncton.
The Cap-Acadie Community Market is happening at the hall in Grand-Barachois, starting at 10am.
Carma Moncton is holding a fundraiser, offering pet photos with the Easter Bunny at Feeds’n Needs, 11am-1pm.
The Easter Bunny is at Bass Pro – book in advance to secure your spot!
The Nor’Easter Robot Combat Club will be at Gunningville Court in Riverview for a “day of robot carnage.” For $5 cash at the door (kids 12 & under are free) you can watch teams battle their creations Robot Wars style!
Local author Eric Fontaine is having the most fun book launch for his newest kids’ book, La peur de Charlie, at Bennic – check out the special treats you can order! Stop in between 2-4pm on March 28 to meet Eric and tell him we say hello!
The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra’s season finale concert is March 28, 2pm, at Tidal Church in Moncton. Enjoy performances by the orchestra, Soloist Avery Hubert (Winner of the FCMF National Music Festival), former NBYO member and recording artist Samantha Robichaud, and a performance of The Hockey Sweater narrated by the voice of the Wildcats, Marty Kingston.
There’s a family conversation circle at the Moncton Public Library, ideal for families with children age six to 12 looking to work on English vocabulary and speaking skills. No registration required, 3-4pm.

Resurgo Place is wonderful any time, but especially when guests are there! Sundays this spring there are a series of special events happening: today, Musée acadien will be on site to add to the fun.
Holy Trinity UGCC Parish is hosting a Ukrainian Easter Market in Moncton, 11:30am, with food, vendors, pysanky, Ukrainian clothing, jewelry, & more.
The Moncton Public Library will show the 2023 Super Mario Bros movie on the big screen, 1pm (in English). No registration required.
Real estate agent Nicole Labarge is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at the YMCA Moncton North, 2-4pm. She’ll be hiding 3,000 eggs, there’ll be crafts, glitter tattoos, games, and more.
Vases d’Honneur Grand Moncton – Assemblée Havre de Paix is holding an Easter egg hunt in Centennial Park, 2pm. You’re asked to reserve a spot via Eventbrite.
The Tri-City Tide host the Port City Power at 3pm today, in the gym at Crandall University.

Resurgo Place is a spot we love to visit again & again; history, hands-on science & arts, & special programming, too!
Hop! Skip! Jump! is perfect for little ones, as well as the cool climbing wall & laser room for older kids.
Burn off energy at SkyZone Moncton; half-price entry on Tuesday nights, and Glow Zone on Fridays & Saturdays.
MR21 is ‘low key Moncton’s best kept secret’ as my kids say. An incredible visual presentation that tells the history of the Acadian community in a beautiful cathedral in downtown. Local libraries are always a great spot to visit, with lots of programming for all ages – and also another rainy day must visit option.
The indoor splash pad at the YMCA North End is an amazing option for kiddos – with public openings every day of the week! Check the schedule as times vary day-to-day; cost to attend for non-member is $6.
For indoor swimming, there are public options at the YMCA Greater Moncton (love their small, warmer pool for little ones), the Pat Crossman Aquatic Centre in Riverview, and the Dieppe Aquatic Centre (with the awesome sloped entry & pirate ship splash zone!).

The Bunker on Main Street in Moncton is a great indoor golf option & does have times kids are allowed. They also now have a race car simulator! There are more than 50 cars you can choose from & more than 30 tracks to try – it’s not a little kid game.
Riverview Indoor Skatepark & Riverview Youth Centre are a great space to learn to skate or practice your skills!
Bowling is always a fun idea! Go retro vibes with Marvelous Holy Bowly in Riverview, check out glow bowling times at Fairlanes in Moncton, or head to Bowlarama & its awesome arcade in Dieppe. (We recommend calling ahead to book in advance so you’re not disappointed.)

Gamer in the family? The Comic Hunter hosts Friday Night Magic Modern sessions, Sunday Lorcana Locals, Monday Star Wars Unlimited Weekly Play & lots of other gaming events.

BGC Dieppe is always a great place for families to connect, with lots of programming open to everyone.
Bass Pro’s 12,000-gallon freshwater aquariumwith striped bass, Atlantic sturgeon, trout, perch, and more is always fun to visit, especially when you need an indoor option.
