Friday Family Events (June 19, 2026)
The last day of school = the first day at Magic Mountain! SplashZone opens today for the season, along with TekZone & GolfZone. (FunZone joins the fun tomorrow.)
BGC Dieppe is hosting a Summer Kickoff, 6-8pm, with a BBQ, games, music, bouncy castle, face painting, crafts, & more – all free!
SkyZone is also celebrating the end of the school year, with games, prizes, a 7pm balloon drop, and DJ Mike from 6-10pm.
Ribfest is back downtown, Moncton! Head down for a meal & live music Friday (11:30am-10pm), Saturday (11:30am-11pm), and Sunday (no music, food from 11:30am-7pm – perfect for Father’s Day!).
Chapters has a paid event tonight, creating an apron perfect for Father’s Day gifting. Register online in advance.
The School of Atlantic Ballet Atlantique Canada presents Willy Wonka Jr. at the Capitol Theatre.
This weekend at the Neptune Drive In in Shediac, it’s Toy Story followed by Hoppers. Gates open at 8pm, first movie begins at 9:45pm. Playing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
In Sussex, the Drive In is showing Toy Story 5 followed by Devil Wears Prada 2, Friday & Saturday.
Saturday Family Events (June 20, 2026)
There’s a pancake breakfast at Coverdale Masonic Temple in Riverview, 8:30-11am; $10 per person, $5/children under 12.
Hub City Sports Card Show takes place today, 9am-1pm, at the KoC on Broadway in Moncton.
City of Dieppe is hosting a free party for Parks & Recreation Day at Rotary Park, 10am-1pm, with a book fair, games, a family bike ride, Zumba, a BBQ, and more.
There’s a kick off to Summer Celebration at Shediac’s Pascal Poirier Park, 10am-1pm, with a BBQ, bike rodeo, music, foam pit, water walkers, face painting, balloon twisting, petting zoo, soccer, vendors, and more!
The City of Moncton’s two outdoor pools – Centennial Park Pool & East End Pool – open today for the season. (Looking forward to Tuesday, June 23 – the Mobile Fun Block Party will set up at the East End Park from 6-8pm & the pool will be FREE all day!)
Centennial Park Pool (15 Rotary Lodge Lane) is open daily 11am-7pm for public swimming. $5/adult, $3/youth or senior, ages three and under free. Family (household) rate of $13; seasonal & punch passes available.
East End Pool (35 Fergus Street) is open daily 11am-7pm for public swimming. $2/person, ages three and under free; seasonal & punch passes available.
The Indian Cultural Association of New Brunswick is hosting a Kite Festival in Centennial Park today & tomorrow, 10am-6pm, with food vendors, live music, activities and more. No admission to enjoy!
The 12th annual Old West End Community Yard Sale event is happening today – with more than 30 houses in & around Jones Lake reading for treasure hunters to visit. A great adventure in the heart of Moncton!
Good Day Gifts & Housewares is hosting a summer pop-up market in Oak Lane, 10am-3pm. Always a fun time!
Zoli Artisan Barn in Memramcook is opening for the season today, with special vendors & activities, 11am-4pm.

The Moncton Mustangs host the Nova Scotia Buccaneers at Rocky Stone Field for the Maritime Bowl XXIV. Entry fee is $10; game begins at 4pm.

And speaking of fun ways to keep learning while on the go, check out the Summer Math Challenge from SN Learning Studio! Sunday Family Events (June 21, 2026)
The Pine Tree Community Centre is hosting a Kids’ Market, 8:30am-12:30pm, featuring young entrepreneurs, face painting, balloon animals, & more!
Gaxiola Mexican Restaurant & the Town of Salisbury are hosting a 30-minute community group bike ride, perfect for beginners, as part of the ParticipACTION Challenge. Meet at Highland Park at 10am. You’ll bike along the Wetlands trail to Parkin Street, along Main Street, finishing at the restaurant. Wear your helmet, bring a water bottle, and be ready for lots of fun!
The Indian Cultural Association of New Brunswick’s Kite Festival in Centennial Park continues today, 10am-6pm.
Dieppe’s Sky-Lines Kite Club will hold their monthly session at Dover Park in Dieppe, 1-3pm.
Ribfest wraps up today, with food service from 11:30am-7pm – perfect for Father’s Day!
Moncton Metropolitans host Fredericton at 4pm today.
June 21st is also National Indigenous Peoples Day. In Moncton, a celebration will be held at Bore Park, 1-3pm, featuring Mi’kmaq tradition bearers and performers.

Mobile Fun is back for another amazing summer of free community block parties throughout the City of Moncton! We’ll be reminding you every week, but here’s a quick list of June’s remaining dates & places:

OUTDOOR FUN
Llamazing Adventures is a great way to get out & get moving! You can take the llamas for a walk all through the year.
- Boyle Family Farm is open for private bookings & special occasions.
- Trueman Blueberry Farms has an outdoor play area, a train that circles the property, amazing treats, and more!
The Boardwalk is open for the season, weather permitting. (Driving Range, Go- Karts, Bumper Cars, Bumper Boats, Paddle Boats & Mini Golf open so far.)
Magic Mountain is open for the season as of June 19! (FunZone doesn’t open until June 20.)
East Coast Karting is open for the season, weather permitting.
- The Magnetic Hill Zoo is open seven days a week now!
The City of Moncton has four designated spaces for wheeled fun (skateboarding, BMWX, etc.): the Downtown Skate Park on Assomption Blvd., the Renton All-Wheels Park on Noel St., the Lewisville Skate Park on Glenmoor Dr., and at the YMCA Moncton North on Twin Oaks Dr.

There’s a borrowing program at YMCA North with skateboards, helmets, and protective gear for use on their great outdoor ramps when weather permits. The all wheels park is open daily till dusk.
There’s a roughly one hour iTour of downtown Moncton’s historical & cultural locations you can use to help you explore – a great way to add a little movement, a little history, and a little fun to your family outings! (And we hear it’s just been updated, too!)
- Be sure to check out all the amazing public art installations around the downtown core, too!
- From June through October, the public is welcome to use the track at the Croix Bleue Medavie Stadium on the Université de Moncton campus Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm – except during competitions & major events, like the Jonas Brothers concert! (It’s accessible starting at 7am in the spring.)
- The City of Moncton’s outdoor pools are scheduled to open June 20 for the 2026 season. A reminder the pools are cash free & children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. There’s a heated pool at the East End Park (open daily 11am-7pm, with a $30 season pass or $8 pass for five visits) and a pool at Centennial Park (open daily 11am-7pm, with a $50 season pass, $20 pass for five visits, or $5/youth/visit)
- There are pickleball & tennis courts at four city parks; you need to bring your own rackets, balls, and/or paddles. Find them at Candlewood, Lewisville, East End, and Alexander Parks. You can register for a code to use the equipment kept on-site for the Shuffleboard Court at Fairview Knoll Park. Basketball courts are found at 19 different city parks & playgrounds.
- Poley Mountain’s bike park will open June 6 for the summer season.
INDOOR IDEAS
Resurgo Place is a spot we love to visit again & again; history, hands-on science & arts, & special programming, too! (Closed on Mondays.) The current temporary display is all about dinosaurs!
Homarus Centre in Shediac is open for the season. Touch tanks for the win!
Hop! Skip! Jump! is perfect for little ones, as well as the cool climbing wall & laser room for older kids.
Burn off energy at SkyZone Moncton; half-price entry on Tuesday nights, and Glow Zone on Fridays & Saturdays.
MR21 is ‘low key Moncton’s best kept secret’ as my kids say. An incredible visual presentation that tells the history of the Acadian community in a beautiful cathedral in downtown. Local libraries are always a great spot to visit, with lots of programming for all ages – and also another rainy day must visit option.
The indoor splash pad at the YMCA North End is an amazing option for kiddos – with public openings every day of the week! Check the schedule as times vary day-to-day; cost to attend for non-member is $6.
For indoor swimming, there are public options at the YMCA Greater Moncton (love their small, warmer pool for little ones – please note pools are closed June 14-20 for maintenance), the Pat Crossman Aquatic Centre in Riverview (closed for public swimming for the summer but outdoor pools are staffed), and the Dieppe Aquatic Centre (with the awesome sloped entry & pirate ship splash zone!). (The Dieppe pool will be closed June 22 to September 18, 2026.)

The Bunker on Main Street in Moncton is a great indoor golf option & does have times kids are allowed. They also now have a race car simulator at the Pit Stop! There are more than 50 cars you can choose from & more than 30 tracks to try – it’s not a little kid game, but it’s great for an outing with the teens.
Riverview Indoor Skatepark & Riverview Youth Centre are a great space to learn to skate or practice your skills!
The indoor walking track at YMCA Moncton North is open to the public daily, free of charge.
The indoor walking track at the Crossman Centre is open to youth 12+ daily 3-5pm (and sometimes later) & for parents with strollers 10:30am-12:30pm daily.
Bowling is always a fun idea! For the summer, head to Bowlarama & its awesome arcade in Dieppe. (We recommend calling ahead to book in advance so you’re not disappointed.) (Fairlanes in Moncton is closed for the summer for maintenance, and Marvelous Holy Bowly in Riverview is also closed for the summer.)

BGC Dieppe is always a great place for families to connect, with lots of programming open to everyone.
Bass Pro’s 12,000-gallon freshwater aquarium with striped bass, Atlantic sturgeon, trout, perch, and more is always fun to visit, especially when you need an indoor option.
