What to do with the family this weekend in Greater Moncton (June 5-7, 2026)

Settle in, friends – there is SO much happening this weekend and through the rest of the month. We’ll do our best to gather all the details & links here for you – but Mama Pickle is also the Event Manager of the 20th annual Greater Moncton Highland Games & Scottish Festival (happening June 9-13), so it’s extra crazy over here right now. 🙂

Family-Friendly Events & Activities in Greater Moncton June 5-7, 2026

We’ve helped thousands of families – but there are still lots of folks in Greater Moncton who don’t know about us. Please share this resource with them!

It’s Environment Week in Moncton, with Codiac Transpo offering free rides on all routes in the tri-community until Saturday.

June is Parks & Recreation Month, so expect lots of fun extras from your municipalities. Splash pads in the City of Moncton are on nowMobile Fun is back, there’s a 3-on-3 wheelchair basketball tournament, Roller Disco, and so much more. You can find Moncton’s monthly list of events here.

Don’t forget Tulip season is wrapping up, too! There are two awesome local spots to enjoy the flowers – Blossom Grove Barn in Salisbury and Trueman Blueberry Farm near Aulac. Trueman’s is open daily, Blossom Grove will be open with a market this Saturday & Sunday. Weather can impact visits to the fields, so please check their social media or give them a call before heading out if you’re keen on photos.

Friday Family Events (June 5, 2026)

East Coast Amusements is set up in the Moncton Coliseum parking lot; open today & tomorrow weather permitting. They open at 3pm Friday and at noon on Saturday; closing time varies based on how busy it is. You don’t have to pay to enter; the rides take 3-6 coupons each. You can buy single, sets of 25 ($30) or 50 ($50), or a bracelet for $45.

BGC Club Day in Moncton will be at Renton Park, 4-6pm, with bouncy castles, BBQ, face painting, games, & more. BGC Dieppe will welcome the community from 6-8pm, with their family supper, rock wall, games, and more.

Saturday Family Events (June 6, 2026)

The 1st annual Salisbury Elementary School Community Breakfast is happening this morning, with two sittings to enjoy pancakes, sausages, and more while raising funds to purchase playground equipment. Cost is $7/child and $15/adult, with a 9am or 10am option. It’s suggested you book in advance online! You can follow that with a visit to Blossom Grove Barn, open today & tomorrow with a vendor market (inside), petting zoo, tulips (while they last), and more! Grab lunch in the village, then head to Salisbury’s Highland Park where things will be moving & grooving this afternoon the kick off to the ParticipACTION Community Challenge, 1-3pm, with outdoor games for all ages, Salisbury International & Social Dancing hosting a free dance class, and more!

The Shediac Bay Watershed Association is hosting its annual Beach Sweep to celebrate World Ocean’s Day. Volunteers can join from 9am-noon, starting at the corner of Railway Avenue and Henry Street in Pointe-du-Chêne (walking trail parking lot). Gloves and garbage bags will be provided.

In Riverview, the Town is celebrating National Trails Day with a Bingo-style scavenger hunt at Mill Creek Nature Park, followed by a cookout with s’mores.

The Comic Hunter has specials in-store all day long for International Table Top Day. Be sure to also stop next door at Tree’s Tees Vintage & Streetwear and continue to The Arches of St. George for their Trinkets and Threads event; between these two great spots there will be more than a dozen vendors on site with food, art, collectibles, and more.

It’s the annual Corvette Show at Lounsbury’s today. Stop by the lot to see cars from throughout the years, enjoy live music, food trucks, and more, 10am-1pm.

Dieppe’s Youth House is hosting a free BBQ with ball hockey, volleyball, basketball, spike ball, pool, ping pong, foosball, board games, and more, 11am-4pm.

EnviroFest is 11am-4pm at Centennial Park – including a Bike Skills Course for kids, guided walks with Explore Nature’s Bounty, repair clinics, live music, and more.

Also happening today at the Coliseum is the Atlantic Concrete Association’s Driver Rodeo. Free to watch; check out their video from last year to see what it’s all about – looks like it could be neat for anyone with kiddos who love trucks!

FunZOOla brings lots of extra fun – bouncy castles, a magician, keeper presentations, and more! – to the Magnetic Hill Zoo today.

Evergreen Park School’s end of year Fun Fair is happening from 1-3pm. There’ll be food trucks, art on display, petting zoo, bouncy castles, dunk tank, games, & more.

The Canadian Beach Ultimate Championships will be at Parlee Beach June this weekend. (And yes, Parlee Beach is open for the season, as is Aboiteau Beach, which means parking rates are in effect.)

If you’re up for a road trip and/or have family who love military history, there’s an Expo happening at the NB Military History Museum in Oromocto today with a vintage vehicle parade, historical military re-enactors, guided tours, and more. 9am-5pm.

Poley Mountain’s bike park is scheduled to open today for the summer season.

The Albert County Historical Society is hosting an exhibit opening and fundraising event focused on the Hillsborough Mastodon today – a great way to give back to the museum (and a reminder to have a visit on your family list this summer!).

Hillsborough Fun Fest is a playground fundraiser with bouncy castles, food vendors, animals, games, and more at the Hillsborough Kiwanis Community Center, 1-4pm.

The Breakthrough T1D Walk is happening at Riverfront Park, with a family fun zone activated by Kids Strong Moncton and walks with Llamazing Adventures (who are now on Cameo & you can order a personalized message from Shamy the Camel!), a pizza lunch, and a 5K route to raise funds and celebrate the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community.

Our friends at Chapters have another LEGO Make & Take today, with a soccer theme. Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve yours before heading out!

Moncton Mustangs Football have a home game at 5pm at Rocky Stone Field.

There’s a Kids DIY Workshop at Home Depot today; it’s full, but registration for the next free event in July opens Monday.

Sunday Family Events (June 7, 2026)

Centennial Park will be hopping this morning with the Moncton Brain Tumour Walk happening, 8:30am-noon. There will be kids’ activities, speeches, a 2km walk (two loops around the lake), and a chance to see Moncton’s own four-time Olympic medalist, Courtney Sarault!

After the walk you can head to the tennis courts for a free ‘try it’ session, 1-3pm. No equipment needed, just sport shoes and a water bottle to stay hydrated. (Can’t make it? They’re offering it again the next two Sundays, too!)

This afternoon is the annual Kidney Walk, being held at the YMCA Moncton North, starting at 1pm.

The Sky-Lines Kite Club of Dieppe welcome people to watch their monthly flight at Dover Park; they’ll even have some kites for people to try.

The Moncton Mets host the Chatham Ironmen at 4pm at Kiwanis Field.

The Tri-City Tide are hosting the Raleigh Firebirds at 3pm for Game 2 of Round 2 of the playoffs. There’s a game Monday, too!

There’s a pancake breakfast scheduled for the Riverview Lions Club on June 13, 8-11am.

East Coast Comic Expo is back at the Moncton Coliseum June 12 & 13. Always a great event!

The 20th annual Greater Moncton Highland Games & Scottish Festival is MUST VISIT! There are free concerts in Moncton, Riverview, & Salisbury, then the big day on Saturday, June 13 at the Hal Betts Sportsplex – free admission to see live music, demonstrations, competitions, & more!

Sunshine Rollers will be hosting an outdoor roller skate at the Ian Fowler Oval, 2-4pm, on June 13.

Sunny Support Foundation (SSF) Care Fest 2026 takes place June 13 at Victoria Park, 2-5pm

The Shediac Market starts again for the season on June 14.

Sunday June 14 is the annual Ronald McDonald Walk for Kids in Centennial Park, 9-11am.

June 14 will see the Monster Spectacular take over the Avenir Centre, with five monster trucks, freestyle motocross, lawnmower races, and more. Watch our social media for a chance to win tickets!

FIFA fans should mark June 18 for a visit to Downtown Place (outside the Avenir Centre) at 1:30pm. This free event will have live soccer matches on the big screen, music, food, games, & more.

June 22-26 there will be several free musical performances with Pops NB & MOSAÏQ.

June 26 there’s a Glow dance party for kids at the Magnetic Hill Community Centre.

Saturday June 27 is Sparkfest: Canadian Multiculturalism Day with free events downtown & on June 28 the Canadian Forces Snowbirds are schedule to make a stop in Moncton!

Riverview’s annual kick off to summer, SUNFEST, takes place June 26 – July 1.
