
What to do with the kids this weekend in Greater Moncton (June 27-29, 2025)
Hey hey friends! If you’ve been following our social stories, you know we’ve been focused on some much-needed family time this week, so the round up is a little late & brief. We do have a great list of events & activities, as well as a quick look ahead for Canada Day at the end.

It’s Riverview SUNFEST time! Check the Town’s website for a full list of activities; we’ll highlight some of the family-friendly events throughout the round up. Tonight, there’s a free showing if Moana 2 on the big screen at the Riverview Community Hall. Doors open at 5:30pm. Free popcorn provided!
BGC SparkFest celebrates Canadian Multiculturalism Day at Riverfront Park today. There’s also a fun new Downtown Art Walk happening!

Shout out to a local author with a middle-school story perfect for beating the summer slide! Erik Gingles’ book, The Nomies and the Surface Protocol, started as a bedtime stories for his kids – and they loved it so much, he decided to share it with the world. For the month of June, sales of the book support Moncton Headstart, too! Win win!
Riverview SUNFEST activities today include Art in Your Face (10am-4pm at Chocolate River Station, with 40+ artists, face painting, food, & more), free outdoor swimming (noon to 5pm), BGC Riverview Family Fun Carnival day (noon-4pm) with bouncy castles, petting zoo, and more!

Today marks the return of the Cap Acadie market.
Jump 2 the Sky’s grand opening is today, 10am-6pm! Find them at 1275 Rte 133 in Grand Barachois, with all kinds of huge inflatables.

Riverview SUNFEST activities today include family brunch at the Fox n Hound, Night Light Terrarium Workshop at the Maker Hub, free skateboarding and a community BBQ at the Riverview Skatepark and Youth Centre. And on Monday, there’ll be animals at the Ice Cream Barn!
Dieppe’s Sky-Lines Kite Club will be at Dover Park, 1-3pm, and welcomes the public to watch.

- 🌊Tidal Bore presentations are back for July & August; a great way to learn about this awesome phenomenon in our backyard!
- 🛼Dieppe wants to offer free rollerblade rentals at Place 1604 but needs more pairs to make it happen! They’re also looking helmets, too.
- 🏊♀️ The indoor splash pad at the YMCA North End is an amazing option for kiddos – with public openings every day of the week! Check the schedule as times vary day-to-day; cost to attend for non-member is $6.
- 🏊♀️ For indoor swimming, there are public options at the YMCA Greater Moncton (love their small, warmer pool for little ones), the Pat Crossman Aquatic Centre in Riverview, and the Dieppe Aquatic Centre (with the awesome sloped entry & pirate ship splash zone!).
- Outdoor pools in Moncton are the East End pool at 35 Fergus Street and the Centennial Park pool at 811 St George Blvd. In Riverview, there’s the Lion Ken Gabbey Pool on Killarney Road (opening for the season June 23).
- If you’re up for spending money on the ultimate local splash experience, head to Magic Mountain. Even little ones can enjoy several features at the water park, including four slides at the Puddle Jumpers Pond, and a splash pad pirate ship, lighthouse, and whale.
Hop! Skip! Jump! is perfect for little ones, as well as the cool climbing wall & laser room for older kids.
- ⚡Burn off energy at SkyZone Moncton; half-price entry on Tuesday nights, and Glow Zone on Fridays & Saturdays.
Resurgo Place is a spot we love to visit again & again; history, hands-on science & arts, & special programming, too! (Closed on Mondays, including long weekends.)
Local libraries are always a great spot to visit, with lots of programming for all ages – and also another rainy day must visit option.
BGC Dieppe is always a great place for families to connect, with lots of programming open to everyone.

- 💚🎳 Bowling is always a fun idea! Go retro vibes with Marvelous Holy Bowly in Riverview, check out glow bowling times at Fairlanes in Moncton, or head to Bowlarama & its awesome arcade in Dieppe. (We recommend calling ahead to book in advance so you’re not disappointed.)

- 🍁MONCTON – Whoa Canada 12-8pm family fun, with live music 5-10pm (Third Harmony, The Mainlanders, Beauxmont, and Matt Mays), followed by fireworks at 10pm
- 🍁RIVERVIEW – Noon to 5pm at Caseley Park – bouncy castles, face painting, vendors, and music

- Place 1604 concert in Dieppe at 6:30 with Troiselle & Dominique Dupuis and Izabelle (Wednesday, July 2)
- YMCA Mobile Fun Block Party at 96 Lewis Street (Thursday, July 3 – the only Thursday Block Party this summer)
- Salisbury is showing Moana 2 at dusk (9:45pmish) at Highland Park on July 3
- Shediac’s Lobster Festival (July 5-13)
- Celebrate Venezuelan Independence Day at Centennial Park in Moncton, July 3, 2-6pm
- Moncton’s Atlantic Nationals (showcasing vintage/custom vehicles) celebrates its 25th year in 2025 (July 9-13)
- Four Girls Lavender is schedule to open from July 11-20; always a great visit with fun photo ops! ($5 to walk & smell, no picking required; $15 for a 2-inch you-pick bouquet.)
- Moncton’s International Buskers Festival (July 18-20)
