
What to do with the kids this weekend in Greater Moncton (April 11-14, 2025)
Hey hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by! We’re so happy to share another weekend filled with events to help you get out and connect with the community. We’ve mixing it up a little this weekend, with some anytime ideas first, followed by our usual day-by-day highlights & our list of always great options. We hope you find something that sparks your interest – and if it does, please share this resource with a friend!
FUN EATS
- It’s the final days for Greater Moncton Poutine Week 2025. Get your dose of #PoutineParenting in before it’s too late!
- Tambayan Cafe is open now in Riverview, with fun treats and the coolest vibe. We can’t wait to chill here soon!
- So many wonderful folks have a Saturday morning tradition of visiting the Moncton & Dieppe Markets. We loved all the familiar faces we saw last Saturday! (Special shout out to our bowling buddy who was admiring the awesome new popcorn truck at Merry Poppins.)
- We’re always down to pretend we’ve hopped a plane to France with a trip to Tony’s for pastries.
- Crumbl FOMO? Head to our own The Cookie Jar in Dieppe! It’s super cute & yummy.
MAPLE CAMPS
This is the last weekend for many of our local sugar shacks!
- 🍁Renton Brothers Family Sugarbush at 1270 Gorge Road in Moncton; the blue building with the smiley face. They’re open to the public Saturdays & Sundays, 9:30am-4pm.
- 🍁Trites Maples‘ last pancake breakfast of the season is Saturday; cash only. Sunday you can enjoy a tour at 10am, noon, & 2pm. Head for the “4th camp with the green metal roof” at the end of Maple Ridge Trail, about a 15-minute walk from where you can park at 1270 Gorge Road in Moncton.
- 🍁Château Scoudouc is about a 15 minute drive from Downtown Moncton & has the cutest little shop filled with dozens and dozens of maple products! Their season is March 1 – April 27, 2025 – with brunches 9am-1pm on Saturdays & Sundays. Guided tours are offered in French at 1:30pm & in English at 3pm.
- White’s Maple in Hillsborough offers pancake breakfasts Saturday & Sunday; this is their last weekend open for the season.

MHS drama’s Grease musical runs Wednesday to Saturday. Some shows are already sold out – a great indication this will be another top notch local high school production!
The annual high school student art show at Moncton City Hall is open. This is always a fantastic exhibit filled with amazing pieces and perfect to inspire the young artist in your life. The art is displayed as you go into City Hall.
The Moncton Wildcats start their second playoff round tonight, hosting the Drakkar de Baie-Comeau. Game time is 7pm.

And in case you didn’t know … my favourite consignment event of the year is here! I co-own Grapevine Events & twice a year we turn Saint John’s Exhibition Park into an AWESOME shopping experience! Check our Facebook page for our Thursday night live walk through (it’ll be a good laugh, I promise – I have a costume!) & consider the road trip – or just telling your SJ-area friends to check it out! (If you’re wondering why we don’t do this here, it’s because the equally awesome MM Sale has you covered!) We’re open Friday & Saturday at Saint John’s Exhibition Park.
Riverview Lions Club pancake breakfast is on from 8-11am; get a breakfast for $10/person or $30/family – and remember, kids five & under eat free!
There’s a fundraising yardsale for Riverview Middle School, 8am-1pm.
We are seriously so excited about Maker Hub, now open in Riverview. Check it out this Saturday for their 3D printed Easter Egg Container decorating workshop. Children under 12 need an adult with them, but you only have to pay the fee if you’re decorating your own container! Cost is $15, all materials provided.
BGC Dieppe invites you to drop in and decorate Easter eggs 11am-1:30pm. No charge!
Farmer Brown’s is hosting a fun workshop Saturday at 11am. For $25+tax you can build an Easter Fairy Garden.
Cap-Acadie is hosting an Easter celebration at the Haute-Aboujagane Hunting and Fishing Club on Saturday, April 12, from 1-6:30pm. There’ll be hot chocolate, balloon animals, llamas, music, and of course the Easter Bunny!
The Easter Bunny is hopping by Once Upon A Child today, 11am-noon. There’ll be face painting at the store in the afternoon from 3-4pm, too.
Chapters Moncton has a Skillmatics Foil Fun Art in-store event at 1pm. Stop by for some mess-free crafting! (PS: Check out their registration-required event happening next weekend – it’s an Easter LEGO make-and-take!)
Mastermind Toys has in-store Easter crafts this weekend, too!
Beloved Miniature Horses are holding an open farm day today. Visit with the animals – mini horses, goats, pig, hens, & bunnies – and pony rides if the weather cooperates. Entry is $10/person, those ages three and under are free. Pony rides are $10.
Voices Rising is a youth choir program, a partnership between the Greater Moncton Chorale and MAGMA. They’re presenting a concert tonight at the Dieppe Arts & Culture Centre.

Celebrate the season with the Ukrainian Easter Market, 11:30am-4pm at Holy Trinity in Moncton. There will be a bazaar, food, vendors, and lots of fun!
Head to Resurgo Place for a fantastic time – and a chance to learn more about the amazing MR21, a true gem of an experience in downtown Moncton!
The Moncton Wildcats face off against Drakkar de Baie-Comeau at 4pm.
The Peking Acrobats will be on stage at the Capitol Theatre tonight!

🏊♀️ The indoor splash pad at the YMCA North End is an amazing option for kiddos – with public openings every day of the week! Check the schedule as times vary day-to-day; cost to attend for non-member is $6.
🏊♀️ For indoor swimming, there are public options at the YMCA Greater Moncton (love their small, warmer pool for little ones), the Pat Crossman Aquatic Centre in Riverview, and the Dieppe Aquatic Centre (with the awesome sloped entry & pirate ship splash zone!).
Hop! Skip! Jump! is perfect for little ones, as well as the cool climbing wall & laser room for older kids.
⚡Burn off energy at SkyZone Moncton; half-price entry on Tuesday nights, and Glow Zone on Fridays & Saturdays.
Resurgo Place is a spot we love to visit again & again; history, hands-on science & arts, & special programming, too! (Closed on Mondays, including long weekends.)
Local libraries are always a great spot to visit, with lots of programming for all ages – and also another rainy day must visit option. (They’re closed on Monday.)
BGC Dieppe is always a great place for families to connect, with lots of programming open to everyone.
🤸 Our friends at 506 Elite Allstars have a great space for kiddos looking to bounce around and burn off energy while learning tumbling and cheer moves. Check out their new member trial package & their upcoming events.
💚🎳 Bowling is always a fun idea! Go retro vibes with Marvelous Holy Bowly in Riverview, check out glow bowling times at Fairlanes in Moncton, or head to Bowlarama & its awesome arcade in Dieppe. (We recommend calling ahead to book in advance so you’re not disappointed.)

💚 Up for a challenge? Room Escape Atlantic usually has a few non-scary, kid-friendly options & Mystery Moncton Mystere is great for the teens & up. There are also online options you can purchase to play on your own time.
💚⚒️ Need to unleash some anger? Book a session at the Wreck Room!
💚💥 Gamer in the family? The Comic Hunter hosts Friday Night Magic Modern sessions, Sunday Lorcana Locals, Monday Star Wars Unlimited Weekly Play & lots of other gaming events.

Bass Pro’s 12,000-gallon freshwater aquarium with striped bass, Atlantic sturgeon, trout, perch, and more is always fun to visit, especially when you need an indoor option.

💚 Llamazing Adventures is a great way to get out & get moving! Take the llamas for a walk!

🎧 There’s a roughly one hour iTour of downtown Moncton’s historical & cultural locations you can use to help you explore – a great way to add a little movement, a little history, and a little fun to your family outings! Be sure to check out all the amazing public art installations around the downtown core, too!

The Dieppe Arts & Culture Centre is hosting a watercolour painting workshop for kids, ages five to 12, on April 17. Offered in French only.

Pony Trails – Ammon Stables has an Easter-themed trail walk planned on April 18; reach out to book your spot.
Tidal Church is holding its annual Easter Blast on April 19, 8am-noon.
