Riverview’s SUNFEST is always an incredible way to kick summer into high gear – and 2024 is no different! We’ve pulled together some of the top family-friendly events for you to make plans. From toddler to teens, there’s something for everyone.

🦖 Albert the Albertasoraus is spending his summer in Albert County – and you can enjoy buy one, get one entry to visit him during SUNFEST! Add in the usual fun of a visit to the Albert County Museum & the special Riverview Heritage Hunt & you have an awesome day out with the family. ⏰ The museum is open 10am-5pm daily.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26
🤸♂️ “I’m afraid my walk has become rather sillier recently.” Embrace your inner child (or John Cleese!) and join the Wednesday Walkers at the Riverfront Gazebo for a silly walk. All ages & abilities welcome; bring your own costumes and accessories or borrow some on site. ⏰ Wednesday, June 26, 1-2pm.
🛹 Surface Skateshop is hosting a community BBQ & giant game of S-K-A-T-E! There will be a beginner & an advance competition; everyone welcome! (Check out their summer hours & make plans to visit if you haven’t already given it a try. Did you catch my first time on a board? If I can do it, anyone can!) ⏰ Wednesday, June 26, 4:30-8:30pm.
🎶 Riverview’s weekly free concert series, Art in the Park, kicks off with East Coast Brass (featuring some of Sistema New Brunswick’s teaching musicians) & the youth Brass Quintet. Town Parks & Rec staff will be on hand for a tie-dyeing workshop, too! Bring your own clothes, they’ll provide the materials. ⏰ Wednesday, June 26, 7-8:30pm
THURSDAY, JUNE 27
🍋 SUNFEST Lemon-AID is a celebration of Parks for All, an program that helps ensure those who require mobility assistance have access to Mill Creek Nature park. Town staff will hand out lemonade along the trail today to raise awareness. ⏰Thursday, June 27, 10am-2pm.
🍦 The Ice Cream Barn is hosting a petting zoo with dwarf goats, bunnies, and a miniature pony today! ⏰Thursday, June 27, 3-5pm
🎥 Head to Caseley Park to watch Kung Fu Panda 4 on the big screen! (Rain location Riverview Community Hall). ⏰Thursday, June 27, 9pm (dusk)
FRIDAY, JUNE 28
🍫 Chocolate bar BINGO is always a fun family outing! Admission is a chocolate bar; snacks for all & a chance to win chocolate bars to take home! Bring your own dauber to the Riverview Lions Club, please. ⏰ Friday, June 28, 6:30-8pm
🤼♂️ Innovative Hybrid Wrestling is bringing their awesome, action-packed fun to the Byron Dobson Arena. These local talents put on quite the show! Grab your tickets in advance. ⏰ Friday, June 28, 7pm
SATURDAY, JUNE 29
🚌 The Town is organizing two excursions to the Elsipogtog Cultural Center for a Mi’kmaq cultural experience, including the Heritage Path with an authentically built wigwam, longhouse, and sweatlodge. There is a morning and an afternoon group; you must register in advance and there are no refunds offered. ⏰ Saturday, June 29, 8am or 11am
🪧 Town Wide Yard Sale! You can join the sellers’ map by registering by June 24; the map will be available Wednesday, June 26. On Saturday, please wait until 8am to visit those hosting sales. ⏰ Saturday, June 29, 8am
🏀 The annual Riverview Booster Club’s 3-on-3 basketball tournament is fun for the whole family – whether you’re playing or cheering on the teams! Registration is $60/team. ⏰ Saturday, June 29, 9am-4pm
🎨 Art in Your Face Outdoor Art Show is back along the Riverfront with more than 40 artists, live music, face painting, and more. ⏰ Saturday, June 29, 10am-5pm
🏊 Free public swim at the Lion Ken Gabbey Pool to kick off the season! ⏰ Saturday, June 29, Noon-5pm
SUNDAY, JUNE 30
🧭 The 2024 SUNFEST Geocaching Challenge is a great way to get the family out & exploring the neighbourhood – and you can earn a fabulous SUNFEST Geocoin, too! To earn the coin (which you claim on Sunday), complete The Adventure Lab by visiting five locations along the river. (You can find the Geocaching Adventure Lab in the App store.) ⏰ Sunday, June 30, 1pm
⚱️ Tim Isaac is hosting three mosaic pottery workshops, each 45-minutes long with all materials provided. $10; you need to register in advance. ⏰ Sunday, June 30, 1pm, 2pm, & 3pm
🖼️ Artist Ji Myang Ryu is hosting at watercolour workshop where you’ll create a 9×12 inch painting to bring home. All materials supplied; you must register in advance, $45/person. ⏰ Sunday, June 30, 1-4pm
MONDAY, JULY 1
🍁 Canada Day in Riverview is ALWAYS a treat! Head to Caseley Park for music, games, inflatables, treats, & more – and if you can stay up until dark, the fireworks over the river!
