Canada Day Fun in Greater Moncton 2024

Whether you’re throwing a backyard BBQ or heading out into the community, Canada Day (July 1, 2024) is filled with family fun! Here’s a quick resource for all kinds of events happening in the Greater Moncton Area, from kids’ activities to fireworks!

MONCTON

Riverfront Park will be hopping from noon until dark for Whoa! Canada, with a Kids’ PlayZone (open till 8pm with inflatables, Resurgo Place & Parks Canada, and more), food trucks, craft vendors,

On the Riverfront Park Stage, you’ll be treated to an opening prayer and teachings from Knowledge Keeper Joan Milliea, followed by Mad Science, Féeli Tout, & magician Remi Boudreau.

At 5pm the music starts on the main stage, with Eagle Feather, The Divorcees, Caroline Savoie, and Big Wreck.

The night ends with the tri-community fireworks at 10pm!

RIVERVIEW

Wrap up Riverview’s SUNFEST celebration with Canada Day at Caseley Park! From noon until 5pm enjoy a cash BBQ, games, face painting, caricatures, henna tattoos, a multicultural marketplace, Zumba at 1:30pm, and live music – including Eddie Chase and Graffiti 4 at noon & Melanie Morgan at 3:30pm. (Rain location is the Byron Dobson Arena.)

DIEPPE

Place 1604 will have carnival games, free activities, cookies, inflatables, and live music with Art Richard (4pm), and La Patente & Plywood Joe (6:30pm).

MAPLE HILLS

Kelsey Albert will bring the tunes to Irishtown Community Centre, 11am-2pm. There’ll also be inflatables, balloon artists, face painting, BBQ, & cake.

MEMRAMCOOK

A morning of fun with music by Tina Gautreau, bouncy castles, & more at Monument-Lefebvre.

PS: While you’re in Memramcook this summer, check out their GIANT snakes & ladders game on the ground at St. Thomas Street. You can pick up dice to use at the municipal building when it’s open.

SACKVILLE

Celebrations will be at Bill Johnson Memorial Park from noon until 3pm.

DORCHESTER

Head to the Community Centre from 4-6pm for live music, bouncy castle fun, face painting, BBQ & more.

SALISBURY

Highland Park will have a free BBQ, face painting, cake, games & more, 11am-1pm.

THREE RIVERS (PETITCODIAC)

Head to Kay Street, 5-9pm, for live music, dance performances, a cash BBQ, beer garden, food, face painting, & more.

SHEDIAC

Kick things off at Point-du-Chene community centre for a free kids’ picnic, 11am-2pm, then head to Rotary Park for family fun from 1-4pm. At Pascal Poirier Park, you can enjoy a community BBQ, music with The Hello Crows, and a performance by Brian Mallery, starting at 4:30pm. The night ends with fireworks at John Lyon Park around 10pm.

HILLSBOROUGH

Gypsy Reese will be playing at the Kiwanis Ballfield from 6:30-9pm. There’ll be a BBQ, bouncy castles, a foam pit, treats, & more. Stay for the 10pm fireworks!

ALMA

Bring the kids for a bike rodeo & cake at 11am at the rec centre, then head to the National Park (free entry for the day) for children’s activities at the HQ playground & a 7pm concert with Jessica Rhaye.

CAP-ACADIE

Plage Aboiteau Beach is the site for a fantastic Canada Day celebration hosted by Cap-Acadie, with a 1pm opening followed by cupcakes, Roland Gauvin & Monsieur Crapaud at 2pm, balloon twisting from 3-5pm, Mathieu Brun & Jeremie Goguen playing music from 3:30-5:30pm, then Max & Vero from 6-8pm.
