#HistoryNB: WWI remembered at Albert County Museum
Not many people would build a replica WWI trench inside a community museum – but not many people are Stuart Liptay. Join Jenna & Tosh on site at the Albert County Museum as Stuart talks about the exhibit, WWI County of Heroes, which details the contributions of local soldiers during the First World War. Albert County had one of the highest enlistment percentages in Canada during the First World War, with men – and boys – from the community participating in each major battle. Stuart touches on the history, the present community’s efforts to restore the WWI German field guns captured by Canadians and awarded to Albert County, the role of New Brunswick’s 26th Battalion, and more.
