2024 MEGA MARCH BREAK guide to things to do, events, activities, & more in Greater Moncton
Wondering what to do with the kids during March Break in Moncton? We’ve got you! Ideas for outings and activities, free events, skating and swimming times, and SO much more!!
PRO TIP: We update this MEGA GUIDE TO MARCH BREAK as we find more events, so keep checking back! And if you have something to add, let us know. Be sure to click through to the sources for updates before heading out, too! NEW this year: we’ve started a Guide for Fredericton, too!
Speaking of tips, here are a few tips for making March Break run smoothly with younger kids:
- Try not to over-schedule yourself. Pick one or two activities per day. Make the goal for one morning event, one afternoon or evening event, and focus on that broad sense of time rather than trying to get to somewhere at a specific time on the clock multiples times each day.
- Remember you need to feed everyone lunch – so involve the kids! Give them ownership of this meal; have them pick out the menu & help them learn to prepare it if they don’t already know how. It’s a great way to spend some time
- There’s no right or wrong way to do March Break. If your family needs to chill out at home, that’s cool. If you couldn’t get time off work, that’s okay. If you book a staycation or go big on a mega vacation, that’s fantastic. Find delight in the moments spent with family.
This is a long list, so here’s a little Table of Contents to help you out. 🙂
- We list special events by day (including things like public skating & swimming times)
- Then the attractions that are open
- Winter fun ideas in case the weather cooperates 🙂
- Then we wrap it up with some craft ideas at the end!
Did you catch us on CBC Information Morning Moncton with Jonna Brewer? You can listen here! You can also listen to our longer podcast version, aired on Rogers TV.
Ready? Let’s go!

Speaking of Easter, we see Candy Depot is taking orders for delivery & has an in-store colouring contest happening now!)
