Moncton’s Hildegard Park
What a beautiful park! This large green space is right behind Mountain Road’s busy Power Centre shopping area. You’d hardly know such a fabulous playground was this close unless you live in the neighbourhood; I certainly didn’t until this visit! I think it’s one of the prettiest green spaces around – check it out!
The photos don’t really show the size of this space, as the playground is just one corner of a lovely green space with a walking path through the middle.
If you’re a fan of double slides, you’re going to love Hildegard Park. This playground has THREE double slides – perfect photo ops for play dates with family & friends! (Pssst! If you’ve never considered a family photo shoot at a playground, we highly recommend it. So many ways to get everyone smiling & laughing!)
There is a small, low climbing structure perfect for toddlers, and a larger structure with both low and higher invitations to climb. A great playground if you’re trying to entertain various ages!
The swing set has four seats, two of which were infant seats when we visited. There’s a picnic shelter and several benches.
Hildegard Playground is filled with old trees, offering lots of shade alongside the green space that just calls out for picnic blankets and soccer balls.
The official address is 220 Barrieau Road; the park is tucked in the corner formed by Jay Crescent, LaForge Street, and Barrieau, offering ample on street parking.
