Friends, there are SO many wonderful events this weekend! The Frye Festival is underway, there’s ballet and musicals and local theatre, playoff hockey and basketball games, Radical Speed Sport show, grand openings, & so much more. Whatever your interests, there’s sure to be something you’ll enjoy this weekend in Greater Moncton. Let’s get reading, shall we?
Must See: Stop by Moncton City Hall during open hours TODAY to check out the annual art show featuring works from local high school students. It’s the final day!
It’s also the last weekend to take in the Might & Light travelling exhibit at Resurgo Place, highlighting the role of gun powder through the ages.
There’s preschool swimming at the Dieppe Aquatic Centre at 10am.

The Moncton Wildcats continue their playoff run with a game tonight at the Avenir Centre at 7pm.
Ballet Jörgen: Sleeping Beauty is on stage at the Capital Theatre tonight. There are some balcony seats available!
The 51st annual Radical Speed Sport show returns to the Moncton Coliseum Friday through Sunday. Along with all the cars and special guests, we see Bluey is also scheduled to make an appearance each day – check the site for times.
Dieppe Public Library is hosting the Concert Time Collective from 2-3pm, combining a string quartet with laughs, stories, and more! (Free, presented in English.)
Old Navy is hosting a Super Safety Event at the store today, with activities in support of the Canadian Centre for Child Protection.
GoodLife Fitness Moncton Junction Village is hosting the Move 4 Kids Fun Run.
It’s the Grand Opening for RONA Moncton, with lots of activities in store, including a toy build for kids from 10am-1pm.

🏊♀️ The indoor splash pad at the YMCA North End is an amazing option for kiddos – with public openings every day of the week! Check the schedule as times vary day-to-day; cost to attend for non-member is $6.
🏊♀️ For indoor swimming, there are public options at the YMCA Greater Moncton (love their small, warmer pool for little ones), the Pat Crossman Aquatic Centre in Riverview, and the Dieppe Aquatic Centre (with the awesome sloped entry & pirate ship splash zone!).
Hop! Skip! Jump! is perfect for little ones, as well as the cool climbing wall & laser room for older kids.
⚡Burn off energy at SkyZone Moncton; half-price entry on Tuesday nights, and Glow Zone on Fridays & Saturdays.
Resurgo Place is a spot we love to visit again & again; history, hands-on science & arts, & special programming, too! (Closed on Mondays, including long weekends.)

Riverview’s Parks and Recreation’s YOUth Drop in Program is hosting a free tie dyeing workshop for ages 12-17 on April 30.

We’re HUGE fans of the work being done at the Riverview Skate Park & Youth Centre – and their newest endeavor is nothing short of amazing! On May 1st, they’ll hold the Grand Opening of The Sound Lab, a space youth can book Wednesday through Sunday to jam, learn, and create. Check them out for the grand tour and plan to come back May 7 for Turning Up the Future, a variety show and celebration for National Youth Week.

The Moncton Miniature & Doll Club is holding its annual show May 3 at the Dan Bohan Family Centre in Riverview. Children under 10 are free to enter; admission for others is $3.
