ODR – Outdoor Rinks – are rising in popularity across New Brunswick – but what does it take to actually maintain a community skating rink with volunteers? Chad Martin joins Jenna & Tosh in studio to talk about the Irishtown/Maple Hills Outdoor Rink, a volunteer run ice surface that’s building community and creating memories for the second year in a row.

Petitcodiac, Salisbury, & Dorchester all have outdoor rinks. There are rinks at Dieppe‘s Rotary St-Anselme Park & the refrigerated oval at Place 1604. Moncton‘s Centennial Park has a rink, as well as the Muskrat Skating Trail. There are also often rinks at Victoria Park and Mapleton Park, as well as the refrigerated oval outside the Avenir Centre. You can find details in our Guide to Winter Fun in Greater Moncton!
