Rainbow Scavenger Hunt
A Rainbow Scavenger Hunt is a quick way to turn your house into an imaginative playground!
My kids and I had a great time with this colourful hunt – and it’s so fun and easy, you can do it again and again! Perfect for March and St. Patrick’s Day, or anytime you need a little rainbow magic.
Instructions
All you need is to know the colours of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet – though we generally just go with purple after blue) – then search your house to find something that matches each colour!
You can take photos of each object and create a collage, or you can just line them up.
Depending on the ages you’re dealing with, you might want to plan ahead and hide little toys of each colour to be found; perhaps some little bouncy balls or dollar store knick knacks.
Maybe you can search through closets and find a piece of clothing in each colour; wear the rainbow!
Short on toys in rainbow colours? Simple draw a picture of something in each colour and hang them up to create a rainbow!
There’s no end to how many ways you can have fun with a Rainbow Scavenger Hunt.
