If you haven’t already checked out Ukulele U on CBC – do it! This show is the sunshine and rainbows we all need right now.

Ukulele U brings together the fantastic Melanie Doane with a cast of honest and heartful young Canadian performers. Together, they explore and create beautiful music from all sorts of genres and cultures through the versatility of that simple instrument, the ukulele. I couldn’t help but smile and laugh along as I watched the show!

The episodes are short, about seven minutes each, and filled with colour, positive messages, and of course, lots of music! They’re perfect little snippets of educational fun that are sure to have the whole family singing along. The show is a great fit for preschoolers and early school-age children, but even those older kiddos will find themselves humming along to covers of current pop hits!

You can catch Ukulele U Saturday mornings on CBC Kids or stream it online via CBC Gem:
