For nearly four decades, Atlantic Canada’s diverse musical community has come together each year to celebrate the region’s talent – from international sensations to local up-and-comers to industry professionals. For a little preview of what the conference and gala will include in 2026, as well as a walk down memory lane, tune in to hear East Coast Music Association Marketing & Communications Manager (and kick ass musician & local mom) Lynn Colepaugh chat with Jenna & Tosh on this week’s episode.

The 2026 ECMA takes place in Sydney, Cape Breton, from May 20-24. Comedians Bette MacDonald and Maynard Morrison will host the gala awards show, which will be presented by Rogers. The 38th EMCA gala includes performances by Goldie Boutilier, Maggie Andrew, Morgan Toney, La Famille LeBlanc, Kellie Loder, and many more, including the Barra MacNeils who are being honoured with the Dr. Helen Creighton Lifetime Achievement Award.
