Compassion. That’s the word that best encompasses the feeling that emanates from Marc Belliveau and his team at Harvest House Atlantic. For more than 25 years, Harvest House has been a haven for those struggling to find housing, to stay sober, and to access critical mental health services.
In 2022, that meant serving 156,000 meals. Moving 103 people into transitional housing, affordable house, and free-market rentals. Helping 85 people find shelter with friends and family, many returning to home communities outside the GMA. Standing alongside 17 people starting an addiction recovery program. And so much more.
Listen as Marc describes the work done at Harvest House, how they’re shifting to better serve the community, and reminds us that unhoused certainly doesn’t equal unworthy.
