Pickle Planet Podcast: Feeling Touched Out
Touched out. Two simple words that sum up so much.
I’m not sure I ever thought to use that expression, but I sure knew the feeling. Still get it, from time to time, even though the kids are older. That teeth-clenching, breath-sucking, prickly feeling when someone reaches out to touch you but you. are. done.
You love them, you want to comfort them, you want to cuddle them, but you also just want to feel in control of your own body again and have a little physical space. Then you feel guilty for feeling that way. It’s a cycle that creeps into our lives and eats away at our relationships.
Naturopathic doctor Sarah Hardy Walsh joins us on the podcast this week to talk about feeling touched out — and why it’s okay to admit it and talk about it.
