Friday Family Events (February 13, 2026)

There’s a free skate at the Petitcodiac Arena from 12-12:45pm.

Fundy’s February Frolic’s skating party is at 5pm at the Alma Rink.

BGC Moncton is hosting a Black History Month celebration, Together We Stand Strong, at the Moncton Coliseum. Starting at 5pm, the event features a community market, panel discussion, and live performances. The event is free but you are asked to reserve a ticket.

BARBEGAZI is coming to Downtown Moncton! Picture snowmobiles jumping and soaring with acrobatic tricks while you enjoy live music and incredible vibes. Free, outside the Avenir Centre, 5-10pm; the two snowmobile stunt showcases, each lasting 25 minutes, will start at 6pm & 8pm.

The City of Dieppe is hosting a free workshop at Doiron House, 6-7pm, highlighting Chandeleur (a celebration marking the midpoint of winter) and Escaouette dance.

Fridays are for Fun on Ice in Dieppe! Head to the oval at Place 1604 (6:30-8pm) for bonfires, music, & more every Friday night this season. Tonight, it’s DJ Maz with some Valentine’s Day inspired tunes! Skates & helmets are available to borrow on site!

It’s Spongebob weekend! The amazing drama team at Bernice MacNaughton brings The Spongebob Musical to the stage with shows Thursday through Sunday. Tickets should be ordered online in advance; $15/student and $20/adult (there’s also a family rate of $60). Showtime is 7pm tonight & Saturday, with a 2pm show on Sunday.

Saturday Family Events (February 14, 2026)

Want to try ice fishing? This is the weekend – the province doesn’t require you to purchase a license for the Family Day long weekend! Be sure to still follow ice safety, catch limits, etc. FUN FACT: Mama Pickle has a TROPHY for ice fishing from her youth!

Memramcook has a series of active mornings planned, starting today & running Saturdays until March 28 (except March 14). Drop in and enjoy simple, age-appropriate activities; no charge & no advance registration required. From 7-8am the activities are for ages three to six, ages seven to 10 are invited from 8-9am, and from 9-10am it’s for ages 11-14. Call 506-758-4078 for more information.

Start your morning off with a pancake breakfast at the Riverview Lions Club. For just $10/person or $30/family (kids five and under eat free!), enjoy a hearty breakfast and support the Royal Rush Dragon Boat team. Meals served 8-11am.

The Town of Riverview’s RinR group is hosting an all ages, free, group walk at Mill Creek Nature Park. Gather at 10am at 300 Robertson street. Dress for the weather and enjoy a guided walk with a sweet treat at the lookout.

The Junior Chef Class at the Peter McKee Centre is hosting a Valentine’s Day breakfast buffet. Tickets are $30/person; enjoy pancakes, eggs, sausages, toast, hasbrowns, fruit, drinks – and a special treat is you bring a non-perishable food item!

There’s a free, all ages singing session at Doiron House in Dieppe, 11am-noon, featuring call-and-response songs from around the world.

The Dieppe Public Library has a French storytime with a Valentine’s Day theme, 11:15am-noon, for ages three to six. Registrations required; call 506-877-7945.

Love a little Victorian charm? Book yourself an afternoon Valentine’s Day tea at Thomas Williams House! Seatings available today & tomorrow, noon – 1pm & 2:30-3:30pm.

Moncton’s PolarFest at Centennial Park gets underway at noon today, with free hot chocolate, visits with llamas (until 4pm), fun activities with Resurgo Place & Scouts (till 4pm), wagon rides (till 8pm), free snowshoe and cross-country ski rentals at Camp Centennial, food trucks, live music in the beer garden, and a Geomatrix fire show at 6pm. And don’t forget your skates for Muskrat Trail & the Kaboom hockey rink, and your sleds for the sliding hill! (Not up for the cold? There’ll be special activities happening inside the Moncton Public Library and Resurgo Place, too, 10am-5pm!)

The 1st annual Alma Book Swap & Neighbourhood Social is taking place at 10am at the Alma Activity Centre. Bring a book, take a book, enjoy a chat with a neighbour or new friend.

Dieppe is hosting a Come Try Ringette session from noon till 1pm at UNIplex. Bring your helmet, skates, and gloves; sticks and fun provided!

If you have a literary teen, you might want to check out Snowflakes & Stories, featuring the incredible Jennifer McGrath, Beth Powning, and Gerard Collins in conversation at the School Street Gallery Space in Fundy Albert at 2pm. (I’m so sad to be missing this myself; please attend if you love great writing & discussion & tell them all I say hello!)

Artful Wares is hosting a fun speed dating event – where the date is different types of art! For ages 12+, cost is $20, and over two hours you get a chance to try four stations with lino block printing, watercolour, calligraphy, and gouache. So fun! The session is from 2-4pm. There were only a few spaces remaining when we checked!

The Community of Three Rivers is hosting an outdoor fun day at Maple Street Park in Petitcodiac, with sleigh rides, outdoor skating, snowshoeing, disc golf, bonfires, and more – including a fundraising BBQ – from 3:30p-6:30pm, with a a fireworks show at 7pm!

Pssst! Mama! Are you looking to hit the dance floor – but want the fun to start early and be in bed long before midnight? Tickets are on sale now for the launch party of Moncton’s Mixed Tape Social Club! Shimmy with friends from 6-10pm, with a portion of your ticket price going directly to Shelter Movers!

Sunday Family Events (February 15, 2026)

Moncton’s PolarFest at Centennial Park continues today starting at noon, with free hot chocolate, visits with llamas (until 4pm), fun activities with Resurgo Place & Scouts (till 4pm), wagon rides (till 8pm), free snowshoe and cross-country ski rentals at Camp Centennial, food trucks, live music in the beer garden, and a Serpentine Studios Light Show at 6pm. And don’t forget your skates for Muskrat Trail & the Kaboom hockey rink, and your sleds for the sliding hill! Not up for the cold? There’ll be special activities happening inside the Moncton Public Library and Resurgo Place, too, 10am-5pm, and a free public skate at the Kay Arena from 2:30-4pm.

The afternoon Valentine’s Day tea at Thomas Williams House is happening noon – 1pm & 2:30-3:30pm; book in advance!

Cap-Acadie is hosting a free Family Day gathering at the Haute-Aboujagane Community Centre, with free hot chocolate, board games, sleigh rides, and more from 1-4pm!

Reserve your child’s spot for a LEGO Make & Take of Little HeiHei at Chapters today! There is a $5 fee; you get the LEGO kit and a $5 gift card at the event. It looks like the event is 1-2pm, geared to ages six & older.

Want to get into gardening with your kids? The Riverview Lions Club is hosting a winter sowing workshop with the amazing Karen Rogers (my kiddos still talk about her skills!) and Butterflyway Ranger Pam O’Brien who will share tips on planting a pollinator-friendly garden. Everyone welcome; materials provided. The event is by donation to the Albert County Food Bank; starts at 1pm.

Art Time Moncton is hosting a Ramadan Art Workshop for Kids, 2-4pm. Cost is $20; a great way to learn about Ramadan while creating!

The Moncton Wildcats are hosting the Shawinigan Cataractes at the Avenir Centre for an afternoon game, 3pm start. The team will be celebrating Jour de l’Acadie!

The City of Dieppe is hosting a free workshop at Doiron House featuring stories about Acadian cuisine and a tasting of molasses galettes. From 3-4:30pm.

As part of Salisbury’s WinterFest, enjoy the annual Swedish Lantern Walk around the wetlands at Highland Park. This is a simple, beautiful 1km walk, illuminated by small bonfires. Don’t wait; the tree trunks burn down usually within an hour of being lit at 6pm. There’ll be live music, s’mores, and hot chocolate, too.

Monday Family Events (February 16, 2026)

DIY Cafe is open 8:30am-9pm today.

There’s a family painting workshop being held at the UNIplex in Dieppe. You must reserve in advance; it’s free, but spaces are limited. Ideal for ages eight & older, 9:30am-noon.

Preschool skating, 9:30-10:30am, at Arthur J. LeBlanc Centre in Dieppe.

There will be sleigh rides offered in Dieppe’s Rotary St-Anselme Park from 10am to 5pm. You can also enjoy the sliding hill and outdoor rink, 8am-10pm.

Funday National Park is hosting a Family Day Sliding Party at 10am!

Poley opens at 10am today, with special activities for the kids – including face painting – from 1-3pm.

Hop! Skip! Jump! is open for two sessions, from 10am to 2pm or 3-7pm.

Circle Square Ranch at Snider Mountain is hosting a Family Day open house, Winter West, with pony rides, outdoor skating, sliding, petting zoo, and more – free entry, 10am4pm. For an additional $5/person (children three & under free) can enjoy wagon rides, and there’s a pancake brunch for sale from 10am-2pm.

Boyle Family Farm is offering a special Family Day event, 11am-4pm. You can visit with the animals, enjoy crafts and bonfires with treats, and more. Admission rates are $15/person ($10 for 65+, two and under are free) and a bag of animal feed is $5.

The Dieppe Aquatic Centre will have a special $2/person public swim, with the Wibit inflatable open, from 11:45-1:25pm.

Dieppe’s Place 1604 will have skates & helmets available, free to borrow, from noon till 5pm.

SkyZone is open noon till 8pm on Family Day.

Château Scoudouc is open noon to 5pm for Family Day.

Moncton’s PolarFest at Centennial Park wraps up today. Head to the park from noon until 6pm for free hot chocolate, visits with llamas (until 4pm), fun activities with the Scouts (till 4pm), wagon rides, free snowshoe and cross-country ski rentals at Camp Centennial (until 4pm), food trucks, beer garden, and the Greater Moncton Scottish Association will host its 5th annual edition of the Great Canadian Kilt Skate at the Muskrat Trail from 2-3pm.

Salisbury’s WinterFest Family Day fun takes place at Highland Park, 1-4pm, with live music, hot dogs, sleigh rides, llama visits, beavertails, hot chocolate, sliding, & more!

Public skating is on at the Petitcodiac Arena, 1-2:30pm; free.

The YMCA has a public swim, 1-3pm.

Family skating, 1:15-2:45pm & 3-4:15pm at the UNIplex in Dieppe.

There’s a slime workshop for kids at the Magnetic Hill Community Centre at 2pm; be sure to reserve your spot in advance! Tickets are $10.

Memramcook‘s Eugene (Gene) LeBlanc Arena will host a public skate from 2-4:15pm.

The Moncton Wildcats have another afternoon home game today, against the Halifax Mooseheads. The puck drops at 2pm.

Dorchester is planning an incredible Family Day event! From 2-4pm enjoy Touch a Truck in the Dorchester Consolidated School parking lot (note that sirens & lights will be used from 2-2:30pm, for those with sensory concerns), free hot dogs, hot chocolate, bonfire, and skating on the NHL-sized outdoor rink with members of the Mount Allison Mounties hockey team! We’re told there will be tanker trucks, snowmobiles, police and fire vehicles, tow trucks, logging and other industrial trucks, a prison transport, military machinery, a Zamboni, and more – wow!!

Upcoming Family-Friendly Events in Greater Moncton (Next Week & Beyond)

Tri-City Tide basketball returns to its home court at Crandall University, with home games February 21 at 7pm and February 22 at 3pm.

Shrek: The Musical is running February 21 to March 1 at the Capitol Theatre. Grab your tickets now; last year’s Addams Family was outstanding & we know this year’s show will likely be an even bigger hit with the kids!

Moncton Anime-Fest takes place at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, 10am-5pm, on Saturday, February 21. There will be a cosplay contest, vendors, voice actors, and more. Free to attend!

Sunshine Rollers are back at the Moncton Coliseum February 28!

Ongoing Family-Friendly Activities in Greater Moncton (Indoor & Outdoor)

These attractions & fun ideas are always worth checking out! Look for the 💚 for our TEEN & TWEEN picks! Some of these are still great with littles, too, but we know it can be tricky to come up with ideas the older kids will enjoy – or can be sent to on their own.

INDOOR FUN

  • 🏊‍♀️ The indoor splash pad at the YMCA North End is an amazing option for kiddos – with public openings every day of the week! Check the schedule as times vary day-to-day; cost to attend for non-member is $6.
  • 🏊‍♀️ For indoor swimming, there are public options at the YMCA Greater Moncton (love their small, warmer pool for little ones), the Pat Crossman Aquatic Centrein Riverview, and the Dieppe Aquatic Centre (with the awesome sloped entry & pirate ship splash zone!).
  • 👧 Hop! Skip! Jump! is perfect for little ones, as well as the cool climbing wall & laser room for older kids.
  • 💚⚡Burn off energy at SkyZone Moncton; half-price entry on Tuesday nights, and Glow Zone on Fridays & Saturdays.
  • 🏫  Resurgo Place is a spot we love to visit again & again; history, hands-on science & arts, & special programming, too! (Closed on Mondays, including long weekends.)
  • ⛪ MR21 is ‘low key Moncton’s best kept secret’ as my kids say. An incredible visual presentation that tells the history of the Acadian community in a beautiful cathedral in downtown.
  • 📚 Local libraries are always a great spot to visit, with lots of programming for all ages – and also another rainy day must visit option.
  • 💚🎥 Check out what’s playing at Cineplex in Dieppe or Trinity!
  • 💚⛳ The Bunker on Main Street in Moncton is a great indoor golf option & does have times kids are allowed. They also now have a race car simulator! There are more than 50 cars you can choose from & more than 30 tracks to try – it’s not a little kid game.
  • 💚🛹 Riverview Indoor Skatepark & Riverview Youth Centre are a great space to learn to skate or practice your skills!
  • 💚🎳 Bowling is always a fun idea! Go retro vibes with Marvelous Holy Bowly in Riverview, check out glow bowling times at Fairlanes in Moncton, or head to Bowlarama & its awesome arcade in Dieppe. (We recommend calling ahead to book in advance so you’re not disappointed.)
  • 💚🎮Book a booth at GG Bistrofor some gaming fun & great eats!
  • 💚🎨 Creative mood? Try DIY Studio to paint your own pottery or the new Art Time Cafe for drawing & more!
  • 💚🪨 Want to move as a family but need to be indoors? Try a visit to FitRocks Climbing Gym!
  • 💚🔫 Book laser tag at the Sportsdome or Marco’s!
  • 💚🔐 Up for a challenge? Room Escape Atlantic usually has a few non-scary, kid-friendly options & Mystery Moncton Mystere is great for the teens & up. There are also online options you can purchase to play on your own time.
  • 💚⚒️ Need to unleash some anger? Book a session at the Wreck Room!
  • 💚🎶 Teens & youth (ages 12-25) can book a two-hour spot at Riverview’s Sound Lab for just $2/person. The lab has professional recording software, an electric guitar, bass guitar, electric drum kit, keyboard, microphones, & two amps.
  • 💚💥 Gamer in the family? The Comic Hunter hosts Friday Night Magic Modern sessions,  Sunday Lorcana LocalsMonday Star Wars Unlimited Weekly Play & lots of other gaming events.
  • 🎲 Board Miniatures also hosts regular table top sessions for various games & free board game days, too!
  • 🤘 BGC Dieppe is always a great place for families to connect, with lots of programming open to everyone.
  • 🐟 Bass Pro’s 12,000-gallon freshwater aquariumwith striped bass, Atlantic sturgeon, trout, perch, and more is always fun to visit, especially when you need an indoor option.
