Moncton sous les étoiles kicks off tonight; it’s a series of free French films shown in Victoria Park.
And if you see lots of folks running along the trail in Riverview, give them a wave & cheer them on! They’re taking part in the 9th annual Kegs & Legs 5K; huge congrats to our podcasting partner Tosh Taylor & her crew for this incredibly fun event (though it is more a parents’ night out than a family outing).

Start your morning at the Riverview Lions Club for a pancake breakfast! You can east for $10/person or $30/family – and kids five & under eat free.
The Norval McConnell 3-on-3 basketball tournament returns to Moncton’s Riverfront on Sept. 13, with a live DJ, food trucks, prizes, and more. The day begins with the U11 teams and moves on up to high schoolers & adults. There’ll even be a fun game with the Tri-City Tide taking on the Mascots at 3pm.
The Wildcats are ready for season 30! Catch the Cats Cup at 10am at the Avenir Centre, with Fan Fest at noon. This is a great way to shop from local families to outfit kids with clothes, toys, shoes, books, & more. The earlier you go, the better the selection, but it’s always worth a visit in our opinion!

There’ll be live music on site & so much more! (You can donate at the event or through the Terry Fox Foundation website: https://run.terryfox.ca/93095.)
One more non-kid friendly event to give a special shout out to this weekend: the Fox n Hound’s First & Final Farewell for Now celebration starts at 1pm today. This has been a Riverview staple for more than 30 years & the send off will be one for the books.
