Let’s count them down, shall we?

It can be a lot to invest in winter gear, especially if you haven’t tried out the activity yet to know if it’s a great fit. That’s why Riverview’s Family Equipment Loan program is so amazing!

Equipment is delivered on Wednesday and retrieved on Monday. Enjoy on your own or check out some of the snowshoeing & disc golf events during Winter Carnival!

1. SNOW SCULPTINGβΌοΈ
The Town’s Second Annual Snow Sculpture Challenge is going to be amazing! Did you check out last year’s epic creations? More than 250 entries!!
π This year, the Town is creating a map so you can visit ALL the entries.
β
You can even enter one of the amazing giveaways JUST by voting for your favourite creation!
π The amazing prizes? A two-night stay in a heated Yurt in Fundy National Park & a season’s pass for your family.
π§ One of the challenges this year is create a bird snow sculpture. There is also the open creative category and the voter’s choice award.
The creations need to be built by Monday, February 7, with the map being released that afternoon. Get out & vote until Sunday – the Voter’s Choice winners will be announced on Valentine’s Day. π
The sculpting bug has caught on, too! We see Moncton, Dieppe, Memramcook, Salisbury, and more are encouraging residents to sculpt & share this winter. And if you’re in the Caraquet area, be sure to keep an eye out for Jean Pascal Brideau’s amazing creations. Last year it was a Mario & Luigi masterpiece and this year we’ve seen photos of a giant beaver; the most jaw-dropping (so far!) for me was his Toy Story creation.
Ours aren’t that impressive yet – but it’s good to have goals!

This is just a Top 5 for this year’s events – there are dozens & dozens of options, some virtual, some in person. Something for everyone! So get out, have fun, enjoy!
