What to do with the kids this weekend in Greater Moncton (Nov 7-9, 2025)

Hard to believe it’s November already! We have a post up for you with details on Remembrance Day services in the area next week, as well as some ideas for crafts, books, and other activities to help you talk about the importance of the day with your children. We’re also working on our annual Guide to the Royale Greater Moncton Santa Claus Parade (happening November 22), our list of other parades, & more. (Did you catch our contest on socials for a chance to join the special sneak peek of Santa, Mrs. Claus & a few of the floats?! Closing Friday!)

Tuesday is Remembrance Day; you can find a list of local ceremonies here. For those looking for a family outing idea, consider an afternoon visit to the Albert County Museum. Albert County had one of the highest enlistment percentages in Canada during the First World War, with men – and boys – from the community participating in each major battle. In tribute to the community’s contributions, the museum has built a replica WWI trench inside, filled with local memorabilia and information on New Brunswick’s 26th Battalion. The museum is also home to one of only five WWI German field guns captured during the war. It will be open from 1-4pm on Tuesday; admission is by donation.
