The Sussex Drive In’s weekend line up includes the Super Mario Bros movie and John Wick Chapter 4.
Family Fun Night is back at Northrop Frye School on Friday night, with games, photo booth, bouncy castles, Travel to You Zoo, canteen, and more. Admission is $10/child.
The Moncton Kennel Club is hosting three all-breed shows at the Moncton Coliseum this weekend, with events Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Frank L. Bowser Home & School is hosting a Spring Fair – open to everyone! – this Saturday in Riverview, 10am – 1pm. There are nearly 30 different kinds of activities; most cost two tickets (or $1) to play. You can also grab pizza ($2) and drinks. The kids & families involved have put so much work into making this a fun event; you should definitely stop by to support them!
While you’re in Riverview, check out the first Riverview Home Show, happening at the Riverview Lions Club 10am-4pm. Admission is a donation to the Albert County Food Bank.
Yard Sale Season is here! We don’t always share notices about yard sales, but there’s a massive community one happening this Saturday, 8am – 1pm, at Domaine Brookridge Estates across from the apple orchard in Irishtown. Lots of families (we’re talking several dozen!) with lots of deals!
MP Ginette Petitpas Taylor is holding her annual Great Tree Giveaway on Saturday. Stop by the Dieppe Market (8-10am) or the Riverview Gazebo (11am-2pm) to get a locally sourced tree seedling. The Riverview event will also have face painting, free cake, & BBQ to celebrate the town’s 50th anniversary.
Love puzzle games & scavenger hunts? Check out the CluedUpp Smurfs Great Escape Experience happening Satruday. It’s like an escape room adventure but out in the streets of Moncton.
The Moncton Mustangs are hosting the Nova Scotia Buccaneers in a charity game to support the Lions Sick Children’s Fund this Saturday at Rocky Stone Football Field.
Up for a little road trip? Why not head to Trueman Blueberry Farms! In addition to their awesome ice cream and kids’ play space, they also have fields of tulips to enjoy & live music Saturday & Sunday, 2-4pm.

- If you have toddlers, I can’t recommend the indoor splash pad at YMCA Moncton North enough! It’s generally open to the public Saturdays & Sundays, 8:30-10:45am, 12:15-2:15pm, & 3:45-4:45pm (and times during the week, too!). Low cost and SUPER fun!
- The pirate ship & sloped entry at the Dieppe Aquatic Centre is also fantastic for littles, and the older kids & stronger swimmer love the blow-up obstacles in the bigger pool.
- The warm kiddie pool at the YMCA Greater Moncton (public swims Saturdays 6-7:30pm & Sundays 1:30-3pm) is another great spot with options for younger & older kids alike.
- Don’t forget the open swims at Riverview’s Pat Crossman Aquatic Centre on Saturdays from 1:30-3:30pm & 12:30-2pm on Sundays.
IDEAS FOR OUTDOOR FUN
- Magnetic Hill Zoo is currently open five days a week (closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays).
- Magic Mountain‘s mini golf is open for the season; a sure sign the rest will soon follow!
- Butterfly World & The Boardwalk includes batting cages, go-karts, mini golf, bumper boats, and lots more – a great spot for the whole family to enjoy! (Not all aspects are open yet, but check their socials for updates.)
- Adventurous families might want to try TreeGo (located within Centennial Park in Moncton)
- or maybe book a session at Maghill Paintball

YUMMY MARKETS, TREATS, & MORE
The Moncton Market & the Dieppe Market are both open on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, with fantastic options for local goodies.
Many smaller communities also have markets & great hidden eating gems, like Salisbury’s growing market/antique scene (and watch for a market & ice cream returning to the Green Pig Country Market site soon), as well as the Old Church Farmer’s Market in Hillsborough reopening for the season this weekend.
Magnetic Hill Wharf Village café & ice cream is open again for the season, too!
A fun spot to shop & enjoy a riverside stroll is the Starving Artist Cafe; in 2022, they revamped the outside with a new Festival Inspire mural & added a patio bar & ice cream stand!
Treat your tastebuds with a walk along St. George Street for Halo Donuts, Lost and Found Ice Cream, and maybe even a Taco in a Bag from Notre Dame de Parkton or something from Dolma. You’re also super close to Co Pain Artisan Bread Company & oodles of great restaurants!
The Arches of St. George hold regular pop-ups with some of the neatest makers around. Treats, vintage finds, jewelry, and so much more! Pop up to Apple Art Gallery & shop deux pépins.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Mid-Week Farmers Market is returning to Lutz Mountain Heritage Museum, starting May 31 with an awesome kick off party! There will be 15 amazing vendors, face painting, outdoor games, live music, balloon animals, and a petting zoo! Open 4:30-7:30pm.
East Coast Amusements return to the Moncton Coliseum June 1 – 4; they’re back again at the end of September.
Trails Day in Albert County is looking like an amazing time! Come out to Riverside-Albert on June 3 to enjoy a stroll on the Shepody Trail, an ice cream from S & C, a wagon ride thanks to Broadleaf Ranch, and more.
June 3 is also Riverview’s Community Bike Rodeo, 9-11am, at the Upper Byron Dobson Arena & the ParticipACTION Community Kick Off Event at Highland Park in Salisbury, 5-8pm.
Several groups are joining to host a rally in Moncton June 3 to keep Policy 713 in place, as is.
June 3 is also the annual FunZOOla event, hosted by Friends of the Zoo. Open 9am – 5pm with lots of specials activities.
The Sunny Tots Park Playdates are back, starting Wednesday June 7! They post a playground each week for their meet up, everyone welcome to drop by. They also have some summer events planned, including an outdoor movie night.
St. Andrew’s Children’s Dances in Petitcodiac is planning a GLOW dance party for Grades K-2 (6-7pm) & Grades 3-5 (7:30-8:45pm) on June 9.

Celebrate Philippine Independence Day (a little early) with the Filipino Food Fiestaval at Place 1604 in Dieppe June 10. Lots of yummy food, music, & more. (Watch for more details on our next podcast episode!)
Dieppe’s brining back ConneXion Zone at Place 1604 starting June 24! Head to the skating oval area for giant games, roller skating, vendors, and more. (The LeBarBu beer garden will be at Rotary St-Anselme Park starting June 17.)

- On June 18, the Three Fathers Memorial Run returns to downtown Moncton.
- Also that weekend, the Shediac Centre for Speed is hosting Monster Mania, billed as the biggest Monster Truck festival in the Maritimes.
- Riverview Sunfest is always a great way to kick start your summer, with events June 24 to July 1.
- Whoa Canada is Moncton’s big Canada Day concert on the waterfront. Just announced as headliners: Sloan & Les Hay Babies! The city’s press release nots there will be food vendors, family activities, and the tri-community fireworks show, too!
- Moncton will host an International Buskers Festival July 14 – 16, with a fantastic line up of fun downtown performances.
- Dieppe’s ImaginAIR returns to Dover Park, July 28 – 30. The skies will be full of amazing sights!
- We can’t wait to see the streets of downtown Moncton transformed by the International Street Painting Festival happening August 5-7. There are 2D & 3D chalk artists coming to create!
- The Napa Auto Parts World Series of Monster Trucks is coming to the Petty International Raceway on August 11-13.
- We know there’ll be oodles of awesome parties planned for Quinzou (August 15, National Acadian Day), but we noticed Memramcook is already promoting their family events, market, tintamarre, fireworks, & music with Beauxmont, La Trappe and Louisiana band The Revelers!
- Wrap up the summer with the River of Pride, with events August 25 to September 2.
- FYI: Mosaiq, Moncton’s multicultural festival, is moving to September
