Creating community and belonging through mentorship with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Greater Moncton | Pickle Planet Podcast S8E17
Connection is one of the most powerful gifts we can give a child – and ourselves. Many people theorize that if a youth has five trusted adults in their life it can be the determining factor in their future success, building their confidence and resilience in the face of life’s challenges. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton helps dozens of local youth make those connections each year, matching children with volunteers who gain a different, equally important, sense of belonging in the community. Joline Cyr, Executive Director of Big Brother Big Sisters of Greater Moncton joins Jenna & Tosh in studio to talk about the programming she oversees, while volunteer Marc Pelletier shares his experience with matching and mentoring local youth.
