Crisp white and navy exterior. Cozy corners with bean bag chairs, low smart boards, and invitations to play scattered through the space. Eastgate Academy moved into its new school building in May 2025, and I envy the students who will start the 2025-2026 year in this space!
The school, previously located in an older building in Riverview, now calls 210 Millennium Boulevard home. Centennial Park sits just behind the school, while Moncton’s CN Sportsplexe baseball/soccer fields are just across the street, providing outdoor learning and play spaces within walking distance. Less than a five-minute drive from Wheeler Boulevard, this location is easily accessible, and the building is beautiful.
As you enter the front doors, you can see the Primary Years students space to your right, filled with natural light, wide walkways, and collaborative work stations designed for children. Older students have a similar open-concept space upstairs, with cozy chairs and couches gathered around bookcases, modern classroom spaces, lockers, and a studious but not stuffy atmosphere. All students make use of the gym/studio space, the state-of-the-art science lab, and various break out rooms for French lessons, music, and more.

Eastgate Academy first opened its doors in 2021, offering families in the Greater Moncton Area a much-needed private school option. The school blends the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and the British Columbia Curriculum, focusing on nurturing creative, curious minds with critical thinking skills at the forefront of learning outcomes.
For the 2025-2026 year, the school will offer instruction from Kindergarten to Grade 10; Grades 11 and 12 will be added in successive years, reaching a full K-12 experience in 2027-2028.
Eastgate Academy earned the distinction of becoming the first IB Primary Years Programme school in the Maritimes in March 2024. IB is a world-renowned educational framework, offered in nearly 400 Canadian schools, both private and public; however, in New Brunswick, the options have been limited. Until Eastgate Academy, the only accredited IB programmes in the province were at a high school level. Now, local children can benefit from this style of learning from their first days in a classroom.

In addition to their core curriculum, Eastgate students in 2025-2026 will take advantage of partnerships with local organizations to focus on their non-academic pursuits. The Eastgate Edge is an optional, in-school program that supports student athletes in refining their skills in dance, soccer, hockey, while those with an interest in technology can pursue a globally recognized coding program.

As a private school, there is an enrollment process and fee to attend Eastgate Academy, though financial programs are available through the school. Eastgate Academy accepts admission applications year-round.
If you’re searching for a modern, welcoming educational environment that prioritizes small class sizes, embraces intergenerational learning, and creates opportunities for each child to be excited to learn and grow, then you should book a visit to Eastgate Academy.
Eastgate Academy’s new campus is more than a building upgrade. It’s another step towards a full academic experience for local families looking for innovative, intentional learning. It’s a space that empowers students to dream big, think boldly, and love coming to school each day.

EASTGATE FAQS
- Can I switch my child to Eastgate Academy at any time? The school does support mid-year enrollments, though September entry is best if possible. Contact the school for additional information based on your needs.
- If I choose Eastgate Academy for my child, do I need to submit anything to the province? The school will assist you with completing a form that will be sent to New Brunswick’s Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, which tracks both private and independent school enrollment, as well as students opting for public school and homeschooling.
- Do the students wear uniforms? Yes; the school provides a catalog from which parents can choose items to have delivered to their home. There are several options within the clothing line, so students have some choice in the combination of uniform items they wear.
- What are the school hours? 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Academic focus is from 8:30am – 3:30pm.
- Is there bus service to the school? There is no bus service at this time; you are responsible for bringing your student to and from Eastgate Academy. Many Eastgate families connect with each other to form carpool and rideshare relationships.
- What happens on snow days? The school doesn’t adhere to the same cancellation policy as the public schools in New Brunswick, so there may be times when Eastgate Academy remains open when others might close. The school follows Codiac Transpo recommendations; if the public buses are not on the roads, the school often opens later/closes early. Classroom learning is adjusted based on the students able to come to the building during snowy days.
- What is included with tuition? Academics, recreational facilities, and regular travel for athletic and academic school trips are included, and you can save on after-school care for young children.
