What to Do with the Kids this Weekend in Moncton (Apr 13-15)

Welcome to the weekend, friends! There’s still time to visit a local Maple Sugar Camp, but you better hurry – this is the last weekend most plan to be open! You might also want to take a few moments to review our MEGA LIST of local fun places to check out with the family – especially since most kids have the day off on Friday!

Looking for some Friday fun? Bricks4Kidznb is open 9am to 5pm for a stay and play! Cost is $6 for the day, with family rates available. Spend the day creating with Duplo, Lego, and more!

It’s Radical Speedsport weekend at the Moncton Coliseum. There will be amazing vehicles, exciting celebrities, and even appearances from PAW Patrol mascots!

The annual Hello Spring Kitty-themed Cat Show takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Moncton Lions Club Centre on Mark Avenue. Everyone is welcome to visit purebred cats and kittens, rescues for adoption, enjoy feline agility courses, and more.

The Family Favourites movie on Saturday morning is Pup Star. Michaels is holding its weekly Kids Club making tissue paper frames and decorating clay pots in the afternoon. Scholar’s Choice will have DIY slime and more during its Smart Saturdays hands-on activities. Toys R Us will have an in-store demonstration for the new UNTAMED Raptors, from the creators of Fingerlings.

Looking for a night out for a good cause? The Design for Change fashion show and silent auction takes place Saturday night; even if you can’t go, check out the event details to discover some INCREDIBLE New Brunswick fashion designers and shops!

There’s an open house at the YMCA on Sunday. Enjoy free classes, a parent and tot swim, basketball, and more. Check the site for details or call 857-0606.

A few non-weekend events you might want to know about …

The Atlantic Wellness Community Center is beginning a Youth Mental Health walk-in clinic, starting this week. The clinic will be open on Mondays; calls for appointments (382-9804) will be taken starting at 3pm, with appointments between 4pm and 8pm. This service is free and available to ages 12 to 21.

A new five-week session for teen girls is starting at McKenzie College. Teen Talks is for ages 12 to 16, with each session lasting two hours. There is a $180 registration fee; each session comes with a take-home project sponsored by Aveda.
