
What to do with the kids in Moncton this weekend (October 21-23)
The weather forecast looks like it’s going to be a great weekend to get out & explore all the spooky fall activities in the Greater Moncton Area.
WHAT TO DO WITH THE FAMILY THIS WEEKEND IN GREATER MONCTON
The Green Pig’s corn maze, play area, & pumpkin blaster are open daily, along with pumpkins for sale. Stop by 9am – 6pm.
It’s Milton Mile Farms last weekend of the season. They have a flashlight maze on Friday night, 7-10pm, and are open Saturday & Sunday, 10am – 5pm.
Trueman’s Blueberry Farm in Aulac offers wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, jumbo jumper, potato cannon, a ‘corn you find’ game in the corn maze, and more. Open Wednesdays through Sundays.

Apple season is coming to an end. Several local u-picks have closed already, and it’s the last weekend to get yourself into the orchard at Belliveau Orchard and the countdown is on at Irishview Estates. (Both open daily.)
Fridays are full with free public skating options! Parents & tots (with sticks) are on the ice at Dieppe’s AJL rink 9:30-10:30am. Parents & tots are also welcome to skate for free Fridays at Moncton’s Superior Propane Arena (10-11am) & the Kay Arena (10:15-11:15am). Free public skating is also available at the Kay Arena from 3:30-4:30pm.
On Saturday, there’s free public skating at Dieppe’s AJL rink from 6:15-7:15pm, and on Sunday from 2:15-3:!5pm. Dieppe also has free public skating on Sunday at the UNIplex from 3:30-4:30pm.

Boo at the Zoo opens this weekend, with all kinds of spooky & silly fun for all ages! Saturday & Sunday, this weekend & next, 10am – 4pm. Tickets are available for advance purchase online. Costumes are always optional, but you’ll often see whole families decked out for the occasion!
Farmer Brown’s Halloween Boo Bash takes place Saturday afternoon, 1-4pm. Admission is $43.50 plus tax for children (adults free); this includes bouncy castles, pumpkin painting, face painting, cookie decorating, crafts, balloon animals, treats, and more! Fun fact: Mama & Papa Pickle had a carnival themed wedding that was featured in Wedding Bells magazine. So we’re in LOVE with the Fall Carnival(e) planned for Arches at St. George this Saturday! Circus performers, vendors, games to play, balloon animals, and so much more from 10am – 3pm. Admission is $5; kids 12 & under free.

Saturday morning is the 10th annual Tweed Ride hosted by La Bikery. A fun way to dress up & drive the streets of downtown Moncton!
Moncton Paintball’s Apocalypse Scenario is taking place Saturday.
CARMA is hosting a Halloween photo event at PetValu on Mountain Road Saturday, 10am – 2pm (1-2pm is quiet). Adults & children can join their pets getting a photo with The Cat in the Hat; $25/photo.
There’s also a fun Halloween/Nightmare Before Christmas theme pet photo opp happening at Ren’s Pets on Saturday, noon to 4pm.
The Great Big Boo returns to Cineplex Dieppe, with showings Saturday & Sunday, as well as next weekend, at 11am.

Blossom Grove Barn is holding its final goat yoga classes of the season this weekend. It looks like a great adventure!
Animals lovers might also want to check into booking a walk with the herd at Llama-zing Adventures or a horseback ride at Boyle Family Farm.

Great spaces to appeal to a variety of ages & interests are Hop Skip Jump!, SkyZone (Glow Zone fun on Fridays & Saturdays!), & DIY Studio. Older kids might want to try laser tag at Marco’s Clinic, climbing next door at FitRocks Climbing Gym, or maybe test their wits at Room Escape Atlantic or Mystery Moncton Mystere. There’s also the Moncton Sports Dome on Friday nights for laser tag, Just Dance, Xbox & Nintendo gaming.
Have you visited the Riverview Indoor Skatepark & Youth Centre lately? They’re busy gearing up for Rampocalypse next Friday (which means amazing decorations along with awesome tricks!) but a visit anytime is a great idea!
Another great idea is bowling & we see that glow times are back Fridays & Saturdays at Fairlanes in Moncton! We also love Bowlarama in Dieppe (be prepared for the arcade section!) and The Marvelous Holy Bowly in Riverview.
Don’t forget Resurgo Place, Doiron House, Moncton Public Library, or a visit to Bass Pro to see the 12,000-gallon freshwater aquarium; stop by to see striped bass, Atlantic sturgeon, trout, perch, and more!
Looking to get wet? Why not check out the swim times at the Pat Crossman Aquatic Centre in Riverview, the Moncton YMCA at Vaughan Harvey, and the Dieppe Aquatic Centre. Both the Moncton & Dieppe pools are great with littles; Dieppe has a sloped entry with a pirate ship, while the Vaughan Harvey YMCA has a separate kiddie pool. The YMCA Moncton North has an indoor splash pad & playground; non-members are welcome.
The City of Moncton offers free drop in gym time for kids in Gr 5 – 8 at the Crossman Centre (99 Wynwood Drive) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:30-4:45pm. The gym is open for Parents & Tots Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10am until noon. You can also walk the indoor track WITH a stroller between 11am and 1pm. There’s also indoor walking at the Moncton Coliseum between 9am and 4pm; call 857-4100 for more info.
YUMMY MARKETS, TREATS, & MORE
The Moncton Market & the Dieppe Market are both open on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, with fantastic options for local goodies.
Many smaller communities also have markets & great hidden eating gems, like Salisbury’s growing market/antique scene as well as the Old Church Farmer’s Market in Hillsborough.
Treat your tastebuds with a walk along St. George Street for Halo Donuts, Lost and Found Ice Cream, and maybe even a Taco in a Bag from Notre Dame de Parkton or something from Dolma. You’re also super close to Co Pain Artisan Bread Company & oodles of great restaurants! If you’re enjoying a riverside stroll in Moncton, pop into the Starving Artist Cafe.
