Moncton’s Valhalla Playground
Moncton’s Valhalla Playground is a lovely little space tucked away off busy Mountain Road, on Monte Carlo Crescent. You can hear the traffic, but the playground is quiet and surrounded by green space.
There is a swing set; when we visited there were two infant swings and two other, as well as three swirly seats and two fun little sets of stepping posts. The spinning pole was a big hit with our family!
The teeter totter is quite fun, and the springs allow a parent to enjoy it with a child!
There’s one climbing structure with a slide and some neat design features – there was much discussion as to whether this was a leaf and a bee or a turtle shell and a person!
Valhalla Playground also has a small musical installation.
This space has two benches, wide trails, bike racks, and a garbage can with pet-friendly baggies on site. There are lots of shady spots for picnicking, as well as a shelter with a table.
We enjoyed this playground and will be keeping it in mind for future trips to Close to the Heart, Blue Valley Berries, Mapleton Park, and other North End Moncton travels! To find Moncton’s Valhalla Park, set your GPS for 48 Monte Carlo Crescent.
