Cupcake Liner Flower Craft
We LOVE cupcake liner crafts – and these flowers are the perfect easy craft to bring a little spring into your home!
The supplies are simple: fun cupcake liners, funky buttons, and green pipe cleaners.
The kids had a blast digging through our button collection to find different colours to mix and match with our cupcake liners. Solid colour liners would work well, too, but there’s something about these polka dots that just seem to signify spring, don’t you think?
Making these flowers is great for working on fine motor skills. Push the pipe cleaner through the centre of the cupcake liner. Then add the button on top. Pull the pipe cleaner through a little bit farther, then push it through the other button hole. Twist the pipe cleaner together behind the cupcake liner and ta dah! You have a lovely flower! Make and make and make until you have a beautiful bouquet. These could make a great centerpiece or place setting decorations for Easter dinner, and a great way to include the kids in planning the event!
We did find the pipe cleaner stems weren’t the strongest, so you might want to keep the flowers on the short side. We used small vases and tall shot glasses to hold ours – and I think they turned out mighty fine!
