Albert County’s White Birch Play Park

Albert County has an incredible new (summer 2023) playground you’re going to want to visit! It’s in the White Birch subdivision, just off the Niagara Road, about a 10 to 15 minute drive from the heart of Riverview.

The White Birch Play Park is a fantastic space for kids of various ages; there’s a toddler structure and lots of neat invitations to play, as well as a large structure with height for the more adventurous climbers.

There’s a great swing set; when we visited, there was an infant swing, a ‘swing with me’ swing, and three other swings.

The larger climbing structure has multiple slides of various heights (including a double slide!), a climbing wall, and a monkey bar section.

The smaller climbing structure also has multiple slides, including a double slide.

There are several toddler ride-on options, including one that lets you dig in the gravel.

Even the jaded 10 year olds with me admitted the spinning, climbable pyramid was really fun & their Dad got in on the silly walk reflex bar, too!

The White Birch Playground has lots of parking and seating, but not much for shade or green space right now. There’s a hill that shows incredible promise for winter sliding and tobogganing!

To find this great space, you’re going to just past 59 Petersfield Street. It looks like a driveway from the road, but you’ll soon see the sign for the space, thanking the community partners who helped make the space possible.
